Just because its explained doesnt mean its not a plot hole. Might as well make the villain dios twin brother. You know, the one we never mentioned. Dio definitely met up with him and made him a vampire but we just didnt show that part. And then his brother waited 100 years to strike. Yup, planned this all along.

@@jbkillinem2360 yea he obviously had time. you have no idea how much time dio had because that was never showed. we just saw dio and jonathan, than cut to outside to an exploding ship. for all you know, erena after getting lisa lisa could have passed out in the coffin due to the smoke, that's when dio could have gotten into the coffin. as to why she was not harmed, he could have had plans for them later and thought he would escape. and dio wasn't just a head, he was a vampire head that can regenerate while being *burned* with *eye lasers, grappling hair, grappling tentacles* who was right next to jonathan at the time. it's not difficult to imagine how things went down with him getting jonathans body and how he was able to pull it off. stop trying to make it perplexing. but its not a plothole. plotholes are things that don't add up. if we use our brains here, we can easily make sense of things. it would be a plothole if we literally saw erena leave a decapitated dio in the ocean and saw her being rescued with the coffin but we didn't. us not knowing exactly how things went in the boat doesn't make it a plothole.
