At least with the OGverse I gave a damn about all 6 JoJos and the main villains, imperfections though there are due to Araki's allergy to world-building and toning things down with Part 3 and 4 . I personally love the OG more because of my attachment to the Joestars and all the lore, but imo 7 and 8 are still better written and that has more to do with Araki getting more time to work on each chapter (a month rather than a week) than anything else.
