Basically, stands are a manifestation of a person's soul, each with their own unique power. Some stands get stronger as a person grows or when pierced with a Requiem arrow. Stands are kinda like personas or summons, and right for you, but when they get hurt, so do you. As for the Joestar bloodline, the guy from the first intro is the first jojk, the one from the second intro is his grandson, the one in black with a chain is the previous guys grandson, and the 4th JoJo is the second jojos illegitimate son. And lastly, giorno, the blond ond, is both the first JoJo and dios child (very complicated). Part 1 takes place in 1800s england, part 2 1930s Europe and america, part 3 across the world from Japan to egypt, part 4 a small town in japan, and part 5 Italy

The basics of JoJo is that the Joestar bloodline was invaded by the Brando bloodline and Dio Brando tried to make the first JoJo(every new arc there’s a new main lead) life miserable and ended up becoming a vampire and killing JoJo and getting his head cut off in a previous battle with JoJo and ends up taking JoJo’s body and ends up getting a stand(because the JoJo bloodline and some other people have stands in future) and Dio, a vampire lives on and so the JoJo bloodline is always trying to defeat Dio, and that fight has been going on between them for hundreds of years if I’m not mistaken. (Also I think the first JoJo was born in the 1800s also the way to kill a vampire is hamon, and since they travel the world trying to find Dio and kill him so every JoJo generation is in a different part of the world, I think the order of country through the series to my knowledge is America, Japan, Egypt, Italy, and then back to America after generations of the JoJo bloodline.) also every JoJo in order to my knowledge is Jonathan Joestar, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, Josuke Higashikata, Giorno Giovanna, Jolyne Kujoh, Johnny Joestar. (There is Josuke Higashikata version 2 but it’s real weird and idk a lot about it so I’ll leave it out.) also Dio stole Jonathan’s body and had a child after that later and that was Giorno, so Giorno is half Dio’s son and half Jonathan’s son that’s why he has a son(because Joestar bloodline.)

when your watching jojo the changes in openings, especially the first one with dio walking up to jotaro, are fucking amazing. i remember going apeshit when I was just jamming out to the opening bk I really liked it, waiting for this big epic fight between the villian that was so hyped and was genuinely intimidating and jotaro, who is just simply one hell of a badass, and seeing that change in the intro and just being so suprised bk I've never seen anything like that before

also in the breakdown opening (reversed one) it makes a lot more sense and is a lot more impactful and kinda mind-blowing. not as mind blowing as the first time they did it but still, the fact they messed around with the whole intro in order to fit what was going on in the story, it was so very enjoyable

SPOILER DONT READ ON IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED JOJO: Stands are abilities made from personality there origin was from dio because he crused the joestar bloodline when we was awaken from the shipwreck. And there are other stands that came from a "stand arrow" which was first held by Baba Yaga PT3. There is also a way to power up stands as you see in PT 5 intro giorno stabs himself with the arrow turning his stand into requiem. Requiem is an OP "boost" given to a stand developed around there goal. Hope this helps😉
