As someone who has mostly adult/older friends as a teenager (12-18) and many of those people are still in my life (I'm over 30) - there is nothing wrong with healthy friendly relationship between adult person and minor one. I was extremely mature and aware of danger that people can bring, both in real life and internet, I didn't find anything in common with kids in my age and those older people SAVED me back then from being miserable, lonely and probably loosing my life as well... There are cert scenarios that an adult can have a child friend. Like the big brother/ big sister program. Thousands of kids have greatly benefitted from a mentor like that. Wen i was 23,i hired a 14yr old babysitter. She was a good kid from a really bad home. Her mom ended up in jail and her dad moved to Florida when she was 16 leaving her with me. I took this child in as my own, but i wasnt ger parent..i was a friend of her family 's. She stayed with me till she finished her 2nd year of college and till this day, i consider her my little sister. Having a genuine and appropriate relationship with underage people when you are an adult is a possibility. Theres nothing wrong with caring about someone. Its only wrong when your intentions are wrong.

Okay so I do disagree that a minor cannot be friends with an adult… I’m 16 friends with a few girls 18-30ish (not like hangout friends).
