Very interesting perspective that I thought about too! JoJo's case is interesting because she herself may have been one of Coleen's victims and its almost like she hasn't come to terms with how inappropriate that relationship was (which may be why she was so quick to defend Shane). I hope one day she comes to terms with reality.

A lot of people are saying Jojo is doing this to cover up the drama that was XOMG pop. As far as I’m aware the story is Jojo and her mom tried to make a pop group of young disabled girls and severely mistreated them a la Abby Lee Miller on dance moms. It sounded really messed up honestly. :(

Yeah she learned from the best. Abbey Lee, her mom, Colleen Ballinger, Shane Dawson, James Charles.. I mean this is the company she keeps, sauuurrrr, makes sense🤷🏻‍♀️ She sounds like she’s still following the patterns of her childhood abusers and hasn’t even realized how awful it was because it’s all been super normalized. She literally has never known anything else and everyone around her acts like adultifying and abusing kids is super fun and cool and normal because they’re sooooooo mature🤦🏻‍♀️ We cannot forget that JoJo was part of the Nickelodeon kids content machine. She’s probably seen some things🫣 (I think) She still has a shot to be a decent human being but times a’ tickin’ and it’s gonna take a HUGE come to Jesus (gay Jesus obviously) for her to see the light, but here’s hoping🤞

Like I had such high hopes for her after she came out then she just was like “now I’m friends with Shane Dawson!!” and all the others and it’s just… yikes :(

The single sounded very much like a song they'd put in a Disney show. Regardless of the intended edge it has a very teeny bop feel because she can't commit to the bit, definitely stayed in her comfort zone while making this.

I'm 60. This very interesting. The bar for what's good is now so low that it's sad. Bjork was 16 when she was singing in The Sugarcubes. George Harrison was about 19 when he joined The Beatles. Jojos' music is awful. Demand more and better.
