He watched his friend die twice 4. He lost his dog friend 5. Both friends had saved him 6. He never wanted them to save him so he feels guilty 7. He was powerless to save his friend in green 8. He nearly lost two other friends 9. He never saw his last two remaining friends 10. He became a cripple 11. He lost his human body 12. He never got to build polnareff land (thank you to the genius Shundanone that suggest this) The reason Silver Chariot Requiem had to power to put people to sleep and change the body their minds have. Was because he was tired and wanted a different life. One were none of this happened. That is why he had that power. Because he has never had any to fix want he wanted to fix. And still won't have any. Ever.

Iggy's death is probably the saddest part of SC. All his last arc is so tragic. For starters, he don't want to participate in the journey and he ends up battling against the two more powerfull stands besides The World. Crocketron The OVA was gory, but this adaptation really did him justice. Originally, he just got cut in half and beaten in a corner in less than a second, while he went out with a fight and died a heroic and selfless death in the recent adaptation. I'm really glad they changed it.

I don't get why people think the OVA was worse. I would infinitely rather me (or my dog) be cut quickly in half then to be slowly kicked to death and then die of internal bleeding and organ damage over the course of agonizing minutes. The whole point in the original manga and the remake is that Vanilla Ice wants to give Iggy a slow death, so he _doesn't_ just devour him with Cream.

I found it really hard to get attached to Iggy, but I actually felt saddened when that "shitty little mutt" did so much to save Polnareff. Iggy knew that Dio had to be stopped at any cost, and even if he was just a simple dog who wanted to lead a peaceful life (and he more than likely would have gotten it had Dio succeeded), Iggy still knew what had to be done. For as much a rotten bastard of an animal as he was, he still showed that emotion, even if it was simply vengeance against Dio for Pet Shop taking Iggy`s leg.
