YES!!!.You can see that she's actually conscious of the chord progressions and crafting those inflections seamlessly into the melody. If I'm not mistaken, her licks are more blues-based with the metric structure of jazz, which is why it's so easy for her to slip those lil (minor scale) naunces without the chord falling apart. Brandy was infamous for doing these same thing!! which is why ppl codename certain phrases as "brandy runs". It's incredible, isn't it!! That C5 was impeccably placed, too.

Hey, how did you enjoy Demi's cover of "Angels of Among Us". I tell you, her ability to emote a song is *HALL OF FAME*. I don't know if it's that exotic timbre; the slightly worn quality of it..or her dynamics;from serine and gentle to powerful and emotive. She does a great job when she's not in front of a large televised audience. Demi's only a guilty pleasure because no one understands that she even has a voice, let alone a great one.
