Bigi I can sense that you’re a true Batman fan based on the way you analyze this movie! Awesome. It’s a shame people tried so hard to politicize this movie because all that attention to a nonexistent issue (joker promoting mass shooters) took away from the REAL conversations that need to be had! Mental illness, abuse, bullying, etc. Saying those subjects cause or drive someone to commit murder is NOT sympathizing! In order for any evil or issue to be solved it must be understood first. I think this movie triggered people because of just how real it felt, and it made people uncomfortable to think that they could contribute to the making of a monster just by neglecting them.

So far this Bigi kid is exceptional for his age. I’ve agreed 100% with him on everything. He got excited over this movie as I did and it’s nice to see him dig on a true masterpiece. He doesn’t sugar coat anything and always keeps it honest. I don’t see him as ever lowering himself to kiss as@ on ANYbody just to be nice or appease them. I don’t ever see him as ever selling his soul for money or fame either. What an amazing young man...I’d like to see him act AND direct👍✌️

Fun fact: Margot Robbie said in one of her earlier interviews that she wants to work with Phoenix so badly, but she never had a chance before. Now she is Harley Quinn and Joaquin is Joker, but they still will never meet 😭 😆 I loooved Joker, some people had no idea and haven't watch the trailer so they might thought it's an easy and fun movie. It was weird to see kids there with me (questions to the cinema who sold them the tickets) I think Heath's Joker is more cynical and manipulative in compare with Phoenix's Joker, but it's not better or worse, it's other Joker that I loved very much. I'll put him in a place in my heart near Heath's version💓 P.s: thank you for the review guys I was waiting for it 🔥honestly that's the first movie I saw before watching your review 🙈

I love what Bigi said about the difference between justification and sympathy. The movie definitely isnt condoning murder or chaos, it's giving the world view of the Joker. And the better take away than demonizing the villain is looking at making a kinder more understanding society for people who are outcast and seem strange. Obviously the perpetrator of violence needs to be in jail and you don't just say , aw poor you , we'll set you free because you were treated bad, but before it gets to that point , try to understand why someone might feel the way they do.

The joker Heath Ledger so sad 😞 was really coming into his own. I will go in open minded. As I did with Will Smith ( the Genie ) Joaquin Phoenix, good actor remember him in The Gladiator, Johnny Cash ( walk the line ) Good cast through out. Think it has to be a little dark for it to work. It is not going to happen and they shouldn't have to be subjected to anything relating the allegations. Taj has said a few times that they don't want to make content related to their father because that is personal to them. respect that

Yo like joker was a huge mirror to the whole world and people cant handle it and i love that. Say things that other ppl are afraid to say. Tough pill to swallow but thats why its a movie. Id lik to see how they bring batman into the scene. Dark yes...very dark..like..very...but so is the world. Other than mark hamill, i feel joaquin is the best joker. I honestly didn't think I would like the film when I saw the trailer. As of yesterday, I truly can't fault it! It was such a fascinating take on the joker, the portrayal of his psychosis I found especially compelling. That moment with the TV show, when he imagined himself in the crowd, being accepted, set up how everything else would unfold in such a smart manner. It was a disturbing realisation, yet so poetically executed. His laugh too, it garnered sympathy to begin with, until it became outright uncomfortable. That's fantastic acting [& writing] , when you're able to take the viewer on a journey through emotions. You guys have summed up the film perfectly! I could list so much more (like what Biji highlighted with Joker explaining his philosophy, the 'cents' joke, his stand up show, the shots of him walking home because it had you wondering, is he gonna completely snap now? & especially the "I've not been happy a single day in my life" line + so much more). I'm also really glad that this joker doesn't exist in the dc cinematic universe. Still not sure if can trust them with the portrayal of the joker after suicide squad. But you never know, maybe they'll get their act together 🤔 Great video! 🖤

Been waiting for your guys' review! I LOVED this film! I agree that this will be a film that will be talked about for a long time. I also mentioned in my review on my channel that I also liked the idea of Batman and Joker being half-brothers, so I was kind of bummed that apparently that turned out to not be the case. The talk show scene is also my favorite scene. It was incredible! You see Arthur finally, fully become the Joker in that scene. I forgot to mention this in my review, but I loved the editing in this film too, a lot of longer takes, which shows how Todd Philips really trusted Joaquin to deliver and I think those longer takes contributed to the tension in many of the scenes. And Bigi, your commentary on this was absolutely incredible and so insightful! I agree with pretty much everything you said and I've said Joker is the greatest comic book villain of all time and yes, one of the greatest fictional characters of all times and this movie definitely solidifies that! Can't wait to watch this film again and Joaquin better at LEAST get nominated for an Oscar for this role!! Great review, you guys!

I came back I absolutely love this movie, Joaquin Phoenix did a marvellous portrait of what the Joker is. He is the personification of chaos. We never meant to really know his origins. And the back and forth between fantasy and reality was so well displayed. This movie will be study for years to come. It is a masterpiece. People missing the points and misinterpreted movies is common don’t look more forward than the clowns inside the Oscars. I absolutely love how they planted open interpretations through out all thing. At the end of the day people confused sympathy with empathy and compassion for all human conditions is left aside by prejudice. Bigi I congratulate you for your review very interesting points of view. Love you guys excellent review. ❤️

Joker is masterpiece of film making, at it's best. The acting, camera work, lighting, all of it was so well done. The writing was amazing, I like that they left it up to interpretation, it leaves you asking questions like is Arthur imagining it, is it real. That's what I love about Joker. To me this is the 3rd best Blockbuster film ever made alongside Ghostbusters and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Joker is a must watch and definitely own on Blu-ray as well.

The batman / joker age difference is no problem. in the 89 batman Nicholson was a joker in his 50's and he was AMAZING. So let's hope we get the sequel with batman and hopefully by then Phoenix will wear the classic makeup from the comics.

Interesting that they chose the skating close to the edge blindfolded scene from Chaplin's Modern Times...so many layers/things going on in this film. That shot of Joker looking at Murray Franklin after he shot him with the slight eyebrow lift was incredible. Is it wrong that i grinned when he was standing on the car and smeared his blood to create the classic 'Joker' grin? Even at the end when he met Murray there was some of the old Arthur excited to see him, so right until the end we were seeing him develop. This is the Joker film I've always wanted to see

Excellent movie I was speechless just wow. But yes you never know what kind of things people are going through so a simple smile and a hello to acknowledg them it really makes a difference to people. So yes be nice don't let people walk over you but you can be assertive in you still can be nice as simple hello in a smile. And to mention I also heard stories of your dad your Uncle Michel just walking up to people and shaking their hands and saying hello a simple conversation to the biggest person to the custodian To him everyone was the same a human being

Honestly, I didn't really listen to all the words in this review, but I agree it's nice you did a review on this movie because I'm actively wanting to see it because I enjoy BATman movies. I already pretty much knew Pheonix would be appropriate for the role. That's prob why Taj is the most quiet cause we come from the same kind of era where the Joker is blatantly weird so as long as an actor can be weired he can play the Joker. But Hey Bigi, you were missed dear.Love you TAj. Prince is always looking up:)

I had mixed feelings in the middle of the movie, but watching it for the second time, I actually know that I loved it. Dark Knight it's my favorite movie and I am obssesed with it and I was expecting a joker dark, smart and cool as Heath Ledger. As TAJ said. And as prince said, I was in doubt in the middle of movie, a good feeling tho, because in the end it surprised me. I never really thought about joker being a SUPER HIPER dramatic man, but a simply - yet misterious man that only likes the world in fire, and Arthur bring the dramatic in his life. Personally, I like the chaotic-super-smart joker than a dramatic one. But I'm kind happy how different it was. BTW i could listen to you guys all day long.

Haven't finished watching the whole review but I just saw this film. I enjoyed it. I personally didn't feel anything for the Joker either. Like I didn't care if he was caught and arrested right after he killed those 3 guys or if he got away. I don't think we were supposed to be rooting for him lol Loved the plot twist with his neighbor. Hilarious scene when he killed his old co-worker. The little guy literally sat there and watched, I would have been at the door trying to escape lmao. I guess he was in shock but still, I'm not about to wait around to see if he kills me too. You guys touched on the class war and I thought about how there was a big fuss over the rich guys dying that's shown in the film but they don't even go into the aftermath of suspicion of his other killings in the film. I mean it would have made it longer and it honestly wasn't necessary to, I'm just wondering if that was intentional to show the rich vs the poor.
