My second reaction to Voice Of Baceprot. I liked this song even more than the first one. Great guitar riffs, great drumming (love the groove), great bass and great vocals. Everything great, so to speak :-)

this is their old song, about their protest against indonesian school system, which judges poorly on the talents of students outside the school system especially music.. how much bullying they receive from people at school... only one art teacher protects them and keeps their ideals .. at that time they were just 14 years old kids when they formed a band.. after they won several competition trophies, then the school supported them to take their trophies to be placed in school for the good name of the school.. you can imagine how hard their journey for the music they love?

Thanks for the reaction it's a pleasure to see reactors who really put their focus on the songs they present, and not on themselves instead. As you approach 10000 subscribers, you definitely seem to be on the right path! "Baceprot" is pronounced 'bah-che-prot' (in english transliteration, according to Wikipedia), it means "noisy" in the Sundanese language (the band is coming from West Java), and the name refers to their style of music. There is an extended version of the song (almost 17 min) recorded live in a studio, if you like the band, check it out, it's amazing (search for "voice of BACEPROT SCHOOL REVOLUTION... shoebox studio..."). And don't overlook the recommendation in some earlier comments of their song "Age Oriented" in the "live in Rennes" version which can be found in VOB's YT channel. These young women know how to perform on stage, simply admirable (it's worth to mention here that, albeit they have lots of experience in playing live on the stage, they are still very young, 22 or 23, if I remember it correctly!)

it's says "I will not disobey, even if my heart is limping (handicap, broken)". Which is refer to the punishment system that they(student) got for their rebellion act and protest at school but they(student) are still forced to face it anyway.

One thing that really amazes me is They made this Great Song (at least for me) with Nice Music and "Deep" Lyric when They were about 15 - 16 years old... Really Nice Job for Them ...

There is more English than be notice: Don't try to judge us now is obvious. There is a section of singing you have to listen to close( section with a high pitched singing) . It goes like this: And my soul is empty...And my dream was dying...My soul falls into the dark side...And I lose my life. Very power message. Song is about how society and religion confines women. And how they should fight for freedom of choice to live the way they want to. Amusingly, I thought off top of my head. They will teach us something( School) and how women should revolt( Revolution) for freedom they deserve. Very deep message for these talented young ladies!😁

Some our experience in our system' education that kill the creativity. School just get our point on the paper u know. Bullying, fight the student, and many bad habit was the effect for the system'. So vob protest and critical of tha condition. That isn't mean there isn't good school in Indonesia.
