Thanks for recording Jokers history. He will go down as a top 20 NBA player of all time and having his story recorded is extremely important.

Top 20 ..... Top 10 is very very much feasible
@Shortballa11Ай бұрын
@@nspihu top 10 is super tought tbh, those spots are almost locked. But top 15 for sure. Jordan, Lebron, Kareem, Magic, Larry, Shaq, Russell, Wilt, Duncan are all locks. Then you gotta deal with where ppl rank Hakeem, Kobe, and Curry and those guys fall between 2 and 11. Thats 11. Then Durant, Oscar Robertson are open for debate which is where Jokic fits in.

Greatest offensive player of all time, in my opinion is already individually Top 5. If only he had an all star player averaging at least 23+ points per game, and not injury prone players.. he could have had already 2-3 rings with 3 MVPs..

@Phizzo4realАй бұрын
Yeah. And if only Lebron had not ran into the GSW teams or the Mavs or the Spurs, he would have 8-10 rings by now. Yeah, it didn't work for Lebron and it isn't going to work for Jokic. The greatest offensive players ever are: KD, Lebron, Kareem, Curry, MJ,... then maybe Jokic 6 years of dominant and elite scoring isn't enough to solidify your place at the top. All of those guys did it longer at a high level.

@tompratt7125Ай бұрын
Don't get the thread here. Jokic is already a top 15 player of all time by the estimation of most serious analysts. Only 8 other guys have won 3 or more MVP's. He may get a 4th. Only 8 other guys have won 3 MVP's, a championship, and a finals MVP. By those measures he's already a top 10 player all time. He's crushing the statistical categories in both conventional and advanced stats. By the measure of advanced numbers he's already a top 5 player all time. To get into the top 10 he needs to win another chip and play at an all nba level for a handful more years. By that point his resume will be so strong he'll be solidly in the top 10 convo.
@conallfarquhar8069Ай бұрын
I think another championship and more years at his current level would push him past kd and hakeem, but then he’d probably be competing against the likes of Kobe, shaq, Tim Duncan and Steph to get any higher into the top 10, based on my list anyway. For me I don’t know if another ring does that, think he’d need at least 4
@tompratt7125Ай бұрын
@@conallfarquhar8069 Yes, I think that's the competition in the top 10 convo. Championships certainly shade things for better but mostly worse. Context is important. I think he's already beyond KD and Dream but will certainly move past them in the general opinion soon. I think he's already a better and more important player than Duncan and Shaq. I'm not a huge Kobe fan because of his embarrassing and wild inefficiency. The last of the gunners. I think Steph and Joker are one offs that changed the game. Changing the game itself is at least as important as chips. Only a few players change their position and the game.
@conallfarquhar8069Ай бұрын
I think I probably disagree, the top ten list which is now probably top 12 is really just a list of guys that were seen as the best player in the world for a generation and won championships to back that up, you go through the list and they all fit that criteria. With joker, if he continues as he is, he’ll for sure be seen as one of the best in his generation, but he needs championships to back that up. Remember it’s not the best players of all time, it’s the greatest. I think you’re undervaluing the importance of championships

Uhm the interview was brilliant. He interjected beautifully. U can't just sit back and let the guest wax on for 45 minutes or an hour... it is supposed to be a conversation, a calm conversation and yes with interjections. Those are the best interviews. The worst kinds are when the interviewers are hijacking the interview and basically monologuing at that point. He seems genuinely interested in Jokic and Serbia-NBA network. That passion is what led to the interview in the first place.

The best 6 players of my lifetime (been going to 30+ nba games row 9/11/13 center court since 1987-88 Reggie Miller rookie year and watching NBA basketball for 40yrs) are in no order MJ LeBron Hakeem Magic Bird Jokic Those are the 6 best most impactful players at their best imo (Shaq 2000-02 is there too but only 3 yr run…Duncan 03-07 close too). If Hakeem & Jokic switched career teammates/coaches/GMs with Kareem Russell Wilt Shaq Duncan they’d all have 4-11 titles somewhere. You can’t help who you play with or injury luck of teammates. Ppl put way too much stock into TEAM🏆when there is a lot of luck and stuff out of players control. That’s true for Hakeem, Jokic, Big O, Jerry West just to name a few who if in better situations they all have more TEAM titles. Hell if Reggie Miller switched careers/teammates with Klay & Ray Allen he has 2-5 titles! There are many examples of this throughout NBA (& ABA) history! At the end of this year Jokic will have finished inarguably one of THEE GOAT 5yr runs (2020-21 to 24-25) where he will have AVERAGED 26-27 PPG 12-13 RBG 9-10 APG 2.2 stocks 59/37/84 God tier analytics God tier per 100 +/- On (and OnOff) In Playoffs 30, 13, 8, 2.1 stocks on 62% TS% with elite analytics as well.

You're def being captain obvious here. Nepotism exists in all walks of life. The issue here is how offended people sound about something so minimal in the grand scheme of things. TBH of all the nepotism in the world this is likely the easiest to accept. His father makes you 100s of millions of dollars yet you get to only pay him a fraction of his value and for that that you use a no value draft pick & pay him pennies in nba terms to sit him at the end off a bench in the high five/towel waver position. 😂

During the match between Denver and Dallas two weeks ago, one Denver fan yelled at Luka saying "We are waiting for you to come to Denver" and Luka looked at the guy and gave a sly smile. So it might be possible if Luka doesn't think he can win in Dallas he will want to have at least one championship before he is done, and he might feel Jokic is good teammate to help him achive that, also Luka and Jokic are very good friends, they hang together often and their wives are also good friends.
