People like her are the REASON I'm proud to be from Tennessee. THIS is what the south is SUPPOSED to be. Kind, accepting, loving, just so open and kind of person that you could knock on their door and say you are struggling (in ANY regard) and would be welcomed with open arms, a hug, and free dinner. THAT'S what the south is. Doesn't matter who the person or group is. They are supposed to be able to show up on your doorstep looking or seeming as freaky, weird, ignorant, wrong, or whatever -- and a TRUE southern person is going to welcome them into their house and give them a good southern cooked meal with lots of hugs and love. I’ve actually stayed at her resort and it is absolutely gorgeous. They even have a suite for her when she comes to Tennessee. Dollywood is also really fun, I’ve been about 3-4 times and I have enjoyed it every single time.

He was willing to wait 2return home so I could go but I told him no you're more important. That was the last time 7 members of our family, 4 generations, were on a trip together. My husband and father in law have since passed but I'll never regret that decision. I'm now retired with grandchildren of my own. I'll visit there as soon as I can with them in honor of My family.
