When people has low expectation on something, they are afraid to try. Not offended but I kinda pity those people who are not willing to try and get expose to something that might open their mind to other's culture and I'm not imposing that they should like the food. I commend Bisayang Hilaw for paving the way in exposing his family to unfamiliar food.

This is fast food, for Jolli's sake. It's not anything special or exotic. No need to pity them, these are flavors they didnt grow up with, and you cant immediately like something you're trying for the first time. Some foreigners instantly like it, some dont, some appreciate it over time. It's a matter of getting used to. I'd rather people try the traditional Filipino dishes first, now that's the true test of being open-minded. I have seen so many Filipinos not willing try cuisines outside of their culture or the Asian cultures.

I said "I kinda pity THOSE PEOPLE who are not willing to try......" used this for all the PEOPLE (general) including Filipinos. If i directly referred this phrase to his family i could have said "I kinda pity Caloy's family". Don't worry about my feelings coz i said "I KINDA" so my emotions are not that strong and maybe equate to feeling bad. You can't just tell someone not to feel pitiful, it is their feeling which you don't have control. The only emotion you have control is yourself.
