Id have to agree. Being raised with Native American ideologies and part NA, you hear the horror stories of religious persecution and what my ancestors went through. My mom didn't raise me to be religious but she did raise me to have very similar messages that Rev Chris talks about. On a fundamental level. The way the Rev Chris teaches and talks about the message and not so much about how God wants you to do this and this and this but more about the place of you and how God can help guide you is rather interesting. Idk. I dont usually go seeking to hear about God but when I see Rev Chris is in a video, I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoy listening to what he has to teach.

My family went through separation when I was a teenager, and I had to spend most time alone at home because my mom had to travel far for work. I didn't know God back then. I carried the suffering with me into my adulthood. The entire time God was knocking but for me He was just another religion like any other. I received Christ only 10 years after God's first knocking. I never understand why God is so good and was so patient with me. Recently I realized God is faithful to fulfill His promises. Rev Chris is the type of person to have a good conversation with. There are many people who believe in other religions that think the same and I adore these kind of people. Those who are always positive and able to be open minded and and allow conversation over the fact that we are humans.

Absolutely beautiful and well-timed for Easter! Ps. Chris' answer about God being "visible" is so important! I read John 3:8 this morning and like that wind, God is Real! Happy Easter all!! 😍🙌🏼

Ollie really nailed it in the Stockholm Syndrome thing. It’s true that’s the way people approach God, and it’s terribly sad. Basically we see Him as one big narcissistic in the sky that’s judges us and cannot wait to punish us. In truth: God doesn’t just love you, he LIKES you. You think being Christian is stripping yourself of everything that makes you, you? Wrong! He likes your personality and He likes you and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Don’t believe the religious people who say we are worthless or scum of the earth, that’s stupid. God wants to be so close to us, he sent Jesus and now He isn’t just AROUND us, but IN us (John 14:20). Christianity has nothing to do with rules or self hate, that’s what the religious people have turned it into. Do you know the people Jesus was distressed at were the RELIGIOUS people who “followed” the Bible? They followed all the rules, so why was Jesus angry? (Called the Pharisees) because following rules has nothing to do with God, it’s a line that we as humans draw around us and it’s disgusting to see how it’s wrecking peoples lives. The view we have of Christianity today is so sad. Just remember: True Christianity is a relationship. Religion is a practice. Not the same.

Daniels prayer gave me the chills, when he asked God why we have to die 🥺. I literally have the chills all over my body right now, I'm getting really emotional from that prayer. OMG I didn't expect this to happen, I need to gather myself. But wow, THANK YOU DANIEL for your prayer, I will never forget it. Sending you all my LOVE and PRAYERS 💗🙏🏼💗

I often find myself wishing that I had Rev. Chris around when I was a kid. Went through some really bad crisis of faith that my teachers couldn't help me with. Chris' answers to the difficult questions would definitely have been things I would've loved to hear when I was younger. I'm glad his church has him.

I feel the way prayer works is less often as in you get what you prayed for and more so in the sense of it gives people, hope, courage, patience, solace and strength to hold on, or work harder or to deal with whatever they were praying for. An observation from a fellow agnostic.

I think Divya has a good point. And also I think it's good to sit down and reflect on your emotions and wants. Like you can journal or something, but prayer is probably easier in ways where you feel like you are talking to someone. I also think it probably gives hope and helps people focus on the future and their dreams and wants. Like with meditation or journaling, you will feel more connected with yourself and more at peace when you pray.

Thank you Rev Chris for your patient, loving and theologically sound answers. Ollie, thank you for your patience and willingness to ask hard questions. It is not about outwitting one another but gaining understanding. Thank you both for your example.
