On Outbreak Alpine, when the beacon spawns in the building with all the hot tubs, there are 2 ledges that you can’t jump onto normally. This is because the ceiling beams are too low. The only way to get there is to climb onto the wunderfizz(?) and then onto the ledge. You’re forced to crouch when you climb onto it.

Fun Fact: in the early years of Bo4, it was possible to glitch into the super ee room on IX(since been patched). You needed at least 2 players and everyone to have the nowhere but there elixir. The NBT elixir worked by teleporting the player infront of the downed player instead of just near them like it does now so, the downed player would line up with the gate - other player(s) teleport and you're in.

I was watching all these videos again and got to the point where you translated all the names of the maps and there's a fun fact in those. Nacht Der Untoten being "Night of the Undead" and Tag Der Toten being "Day of the Dead" is a reference to George Romero's movies. His first movie was Night of the Living Dead in 1968, his next zombie movie was Dawn of the Dead in 1978, and then Day of the Dead in 1985. He didn't make another zombie movie for 20 years and the the ones he made after that all had a different feel to them so a lot of people consider Night and Day to be the beginning and the end of the "golden age" of zombie movies. On top of that, the original name of Night of the Living Dead was actually Night of the Flesh Eaters before being changed very late into production of the movie. The zombies in that movie are also never once referred to as "zombies" in the movie itself. That's because they aren't zombies, they are ghouls. Before NotLD a zombie was someone under the spell of someone who practiced voodoo and was practically a slave who would do anything and ghouls were slow, shambling, undead humans who craved human flesh. After NotLD released many news articles talking about the film mislabed the ghouls as zombies and the rest is history. I bring all this up because Scarlett in the chaos maps (or at least IX for sure) has many voice lines calling the zombies both "flesh eaters" and "ghouls" which in my head means that Scarlett is as big a George Romero nerd as I am and I love it. Zombies the game mode would've never existed without George and I love all the nods to him the devs put in. As Richtofen says in Tag, George was a great man, and he shined a light in the darkest corners of our souls. RIP George

During a run of the Mephistopheles boss fight with my friend, we were on the last talisman when the hoss spawned a wall, and I got pushed into its spawn path. Because of the way the wall spawns, it sent me flying all the way out into space for quite some time before I started falling until I hit a death barrier. It was the most confusing and hilarious experience I've ever had in that boss fight.

The M27, much like the KN-44, was probably a test weapon for the game. The game did use games like BO2 as a base for the code so it makes sense to just use a weapon from that game for testing. It's like how in many places scripted weapon shots are fired or gun effects occur a KN-44 was used as it was likely the first rifle made for the game.

Double speed on the tram happens when the tram moves for the first time, which is usually when the first door in spawn is open; if you use the truck jump to turn on the stairs and leave spawn without opening the door, when you ride the tram, it'll be double speed since it hasn't moved before.

Ik dataminers didn't find the rooms for DOTN and Tag, but my theory is that the room on DOTN either would have been the grave house thing left of the impaler secret stairs, behind the wooden gate by the stake knife, or in some out of place bookshelf that doesn't have a secret open easter egg. For Tag I think the common theory was that it would be a side room in the Ultimis test tube room across from the power switch. I got one though: How many easter eggs can get bugged out if you do steps during the transition to (or during) a dog round? In IW basically every bossfight will start flipping rounds if you enter them during soecial rounds. On IX if you kill the 4th Ra gladiator on the transition to a special round it can softlock the easter egg. Where else can these kinds of things happen? Also: If you grab the SETI-COM from Hasslehoff too quickly when you first build it as the round is starting, you won't get the SETI and you'll be softlocked

I miss the Rush gamemode. I think it was called Rush? 4 players competed to get the most points while rounds carried on naturally. Really got some good competitive vibes with randoms, until the late rounds when downing meant you had no chance of coming back so people would d/c. I think its still playable but only for private games, they must have disabled public playlists due to lack of interest I guess.

I think the golden pap would’ve made sense. Most players couldn’t stand packing 5 times, so I could see Treyarch using the Super EE as a bandaid fix. It also could’ve been a weapon locker.
