The strategy of “determine why a different word wasn’t the clue” is essential and G&Co fumbled it, both on illuminate and cabana. You have to have faith that your clue-giver is giving the best possible hint and assume that they pivoted away from simpler clues to make better connections. Especially when Taylor is using non-commonplace words. So I’m not faulting Taylor on her cabana-for-2 hint, because she wants them to hit pool and connect with server. She would’ve said swim if she wanted water. For illuminate, she wants spot and light. If it was light and day, the clue would’ve indeed been sunny.
