Ive said it before, Sexton has the best commentary in all of discgolf. He is concise, deliberate, and gives the whole round a bit of levity. He lends a bit of reality to the BigBarri style, and seems to keep them in check. BigSexyBari FTW! Thanks Jomez!

Yes. He's a natural. His tone, cadence, and vocabulary just make him a perfect commentator. And he does keep the goofy in check regarding the other two.

The rule is the disc has to rest IN the basket or in the chains. That’s why when most pros are parked they simply just put the disc in the basket for it to count as complete.

According to the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA), a disc counts as in the basket if it comes to rest in the chains or tray below the chain support of a basket target. This is true regardless of how the disc got into the basket, such as by going straight into the chains or squeezing through the tray. A disc that is on top of the basket does not count as in the basket. These rules are part of Rule 807.B of the PDGA's Official Rules of Disc Golf and Competition Manual for Disc Golf Events, which went into effect on January 1, 2022.

I don’t really understand why people think it’s such a huge problem that a hole averages 80% or more par. In disc golf we treat pars like they are bad. We put too high of an emphasis on need every hole to have a high birdie rate. When literally “par” is how many shots it should take to complete the hole. It bamboozles me why it’s such a bad thing when you complete the hole in the strokes it’s supposed to be completed in. Like birdies are if you play the hole amazingly and bogeys are if you mess up but we shouldn’t have an expectation to have a birdie on every hole. I think difficulty wise -4 to -7 is the perfect scores. These double digit scoring rounds are becoming too common and we continue to act like it is an amazing feat but it happens every round multiple times.

The DGPT is not fond of DGA or DeLa for whatever reason. They are both pioneers in disc golf and located in Santa Cruz County. Get over it. Show some respect! Maybe it's because they don't like the 2 meter rule? Nah, it's something else.

@@sixfilthyhobos5795 He's throwing DGA and I've noticed that there seems to be friction between what DGPT represents and the old school DeLa/DGA fraternity. If you don't see that link then maybe I'm reading something into it that isn't there but DGA and DeLa have a regional collaboration that goes waaaaay back to the very beginning of disc golf and the DGPT has totally sidelined DeLa from the tour after demoting it to a Silver Series last year. It's an A tier this year. Another demotion. In case you didn't know DGA headquarters is located about 15 miles from DeLa. Maybe it's all in my head but there seems to be some friction between the Tour and DGA/DeLa.

Maybe he doesn't hang out much with that crowd. DG is very cliquish, like many sports. Has Malt Ball ever played a practice round with them? I don't think so.
