These two have made the most beautiful music ever, I have played their music ever since the first album came out I think in 1979, Short Stories , I never tire ever and have played them all many thousands of times. Vangelis rest in peace and Jon don't ever stop! ❤❤❤

The emotional impact from this song gets me everytime. What a beauty. The opening is so softly it's brings me to tears. Jon and Vangelis has been a golden combination for many songs. There music will live on and touching souls for a long time to come. Nasa could send this with a space mission that would be heaven

Jon Anderson turns 80 this year, and it was just yesterday this frail little fellow glided up to the mic, and an angles voice erupted .

I remember the first time I heard this song (many years ago now…) such a very powerful statement. Jon and Vangelis were such an important duo in music - with no notoriety at all. Shame. More for US?… well I know it doesn’t work like that.

Actually the longer part has been officially released on 'Page of life' in 1999. This second version of the album contains different tracklist and has been released without consent from Jon & Vangelis with the latter demanding it to be removed from the market.
@blittle10 ай бұрын
@@RadioParanormaliumPL It was 1998. Also, it was Jon's initiative to do the re-release. According to an interview he did on the Echoes radio show, management told him that Vangelis was already on board with the re-release, which obviously wasn't the case. But that's only one side of the story, and we'll never hear the other side.

"Another Page Of Life" is an unofficial album, that's why.
@peted79854 жыл бұрын
is this the 'original' Change we must from about 1988 ? (not '98!)
@BlackBlofeld4 жыл бұрын
The "Change We Must" is a track which recorded in 1986, like the whole "Page Of Life" album. In 1989 a earlier/demo version of the album was leaked, and the track list was a bit different from the official 1991 release. In this earlier version of the album you could listen the "Change We Must" with an 2:30 mins instrumental intro named "Open Up". In 1991 the official album was released without the "Change We Must". In the 1998 release, the "Change We Must" was in the album but in shorter version, without the "Open Up" intro. Finally in 1998 and in the unofficial album "Another Page Of Life" we can listen the "Open Up" intro and the "Change We Must" together.

@@BlackBlofeld a die-hard Yes fan friend of mine had the 'demo' album way before the 1991 release on which i was gobsmacked that Change we must was omitted. i went with that friend to a Yes signing session in 1994 and to his probable embarrassment i asked Jon why , and he said it was Vangelis's call. i even said something like .. what ? instead of Money and Jazzy box!
@h.g.bespoke Жыл бұрын
@@peted7985 exactly! Money instead of this beautiful piece. I think Vangelis was not easy to get along with and set his mind in stone all too often from what Jon has said in the past.
