Beautiful. Voice of an Angel. Great music. One of the most mind blowing gigs I've ever seen was Yes performing 'Awaken' at The Wembley Stadium around 1990. Two guitarists, two drummers, Jon, Chris and Rick. They were on a slowly rotating stage, set up in the middle of the stadium. "High vibration go on.......Something crawled up my spine and opened my mind that night.

@@fccwebmeisterAgreed. 'Kids' nowadays don't even realize what they've missed. Recently spoke to young man, who had never heard of Hendrix, Joplin, Pink Floyd, Santana, Yes, CSN&Y, Rush, ELP, Jethro Tull, and most other groups from that era. "So, what music do you listen to?" "Rap." /smh We are truly blessed to have experienced those revolutionary days of electronic music, synths & guitars. Only the body is old. My mind is still full of youth... from what I can remember. 🙄 BR & Happy Holidays!

@jamespealing3518. Totally agree on Awaken. Saw them perform it at the Warfield in SF (after their arena days were done), and it was transcendent. That piece in my mind is the finest, most well-crafted song in all of rock music. It was a privilege seeing them play it live.

Back in the 70's I had just been released from the hospital after a very bad motorcycle accident and my girlfriend took me to a mall that had been a barn so I could shuffle around and get better at walking. We were on the lower level and I heard "Olias of Sunhillow" for the first time. I bought it on vinyl and tape and it helped me get through the extremely painful physical therapy of getting the use of my left arm and hand as well as my right leg back. My orthopedic crew thought it was amazing I could walk at all. Thank you for that musical assistance. It meant and still means the world to me.

Hello Jon! I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you. Your music has been a huge part of my life for 50 years. I attribute your music to how I chose my direction in life, a musician. It kept me out of trouble as a teen because it is so positive. While my friends were out getting into trouble, I was laying on my bedroom floor with headphones on. I have learned how to play all sorts of music over the decades. My wife asked me since I loved Yes so much, why haven’t I learned how to play it? Can’t I learn it? “Yes, I could learn it, but it would be sacrilege to me. Besides, I can’t sing it, nobody can but Jon”. She understood. I’m loving that you found some great folks in the band geeks. I just wish you would have gotten closer to Cincinnati so I could see you for the 24th time. Maybe next time. Bless you, and Thank you sir.

I told him my wife's name is Angela and my daughter is Vanessa. He immediately said that I am blessed and began making up a song and was singing right there in front of me. Cars are driving by wondering what is going on. For a full week after his handshake my have had the best smell i have ever experienced to this day. The concert that night at Mud Island Amphitheater with Yes was amazing. My wife, daughter and I were 2nd row center and I still smile thinking about that day and night some 25 years ago.

@@fenner4117 during one of the tours he was on he was accused of multiple backstage sexual assaults from various crew members. He left the band pretty quickly after from what I understand, Im guessing he wanted to keep attention off himself. Nothing is confirmed as far as I know, but it seems like he didn't try to defend his image, and if its coming from multiple people then its worth at least taking seriously. Also it's not like he was a high profile celebrity, there's not anything anyone would gain from falsely accusing him specifically

I wrote Jon in 1991 thanking him for his glorious voice and Yes! His new age advisor responded. Ever since I have ached for his voice to be for the glory of the one true God, Jesus Christ, the one whose birth, if anyone recalls, is what Christmas is about! Not sure where we are- not my judgment, but I pray that the music is not about some airy, pointless -all is love, like the very old new age lie.. Jon, and to all of us who love your music, “unto us a child is born; a Son is GIVEN ! Peace. Salom.

No fear in the night with the loving sound that keeps the loving light. Thank you dear John for your colorful, light-bringing sounds and words. We are currently living in great darkness on Earth and humanity has lost its way. Your commitment and your devotion with your voice to the feminine in the universe would like to please lead us to knowledge and clairvoyance. We can only free ourselves from this darkness by becoming more truthful and welcoming the light. As long as there are people who do things in the dark that we don't want to know about, we have not yet managed to give the power for everything back to the light. We musicians know that what is very special in music, what enchants us all equally deeply, are the very special and highly blessed moments. In the 70s I had the vision of finding this music in the East and India. Indians are now also flying to the moon, to the darkest place in the universe. Maybe they will find their light there, who knows, but I also know that a lot of dirt will be blown into the atmosphere, which will endanger all of our lives to the greatest extent. Soon machines and robots will take over all the work and computers will replace politicians but musicians will always be needed in such a dark world and computers cannot replace real music because they cannot feel and can't guess all. You can perhaps write such programs, but every moment has its own music and its own sound and only musicians can feel it. Music is the bridge between the thinkable and the tangible, which communicate and are connected to each other in inexplicable, magical ways Yin and yang. The light within us is Truth, Harmony and Sound in one. The voice we have is a gift from God and life at the same time. Anyone who sings can't lie and I would love to sing my words with John and all of you who can read this right now. Love light and sound becomes Us In truth, as a soul, we are Ringing Light Happy HOLY LIGHT 🌞
