Jon has always evolved and changed his sound while still keeping a very “Jon Bellion” style somehow, but I think this is one of the biggest changes I’ve heard in his music since he dropped Guillotine. That bassline drop really gave me mixed feelings because it wasn’t much like his older stuff. But it really grew on me, and I trust his artistic vision. Now Guillotine is one of his most popular tracks. I suspect his album will carry this newer sound and I expect it to still be a great album.

The song feels complete but incomplete at the same time. Like you said with the energetic pre-chorus going into the more chill and jazzy chorus.
