Hearing that you weren’t familiar with the song was surprising to me- I thought it was just one of those songs that everyone knew. It got a lot of radio play in it’s time but it definitely has that “of it’s time” quality. I was surprised to hear it had the impact on Jon that it did. I feel like Jon’s version takes you on a different journey but finds a way to really honor the message of the original
