Have you watched Real Ones yet? He's an absolutely fantastic human. I love him man. I watched his conversation with Shia Lebouf twice and cried both times. That episode probably isn't for everyone and Jon doesn't talk a whole lot in it but def do yourself a favor and find one you might be interested in.

He has eyes and ears and brains. An actor's job is to mimic and soak it up and create. Enough to do it without being "infected" ("actor's method" now is more about being infected than talent). Empathy doesn't require PTSD, psychiatrists couldn't work. Same for actors who want to be good at their job. Bernthal is. His character is fluid. The flip of a switch can turn him into many different things. That's talent and work. .

That’s a great story. I can totally relate to that. The one time in my life when I had a gut feeling to get a ride home from a bar, the guy driving crashed the truck and I ended up with a broken neck. And even though I was trying to be responsible, and I wasn’t the person driving or the one that crashed the truck, my boss AND one of my sister’s both said the same thing to me- something along the lines of “ maybe you should make better choices” Not ….oh my god! I’m glad you’re still alive! Or I’m happy you’re not paralyzed. Instead they tried to shame me for being in that situation in the first place. I’ll never forget that. And yeah, I’ll never get a ride from anyone ever again in a situation like that, because I no longer drink enough at a bar to need a ride. I also didn’t like Jon for a while after his role in TWD, because of how he went from being Rick’s best friend to stealing his wife and trying to kill him. I liked the fact his character got killed off because of that. It was fitting for that betrayal in the circumstances of the story. But he seems like a pretty decent person. Down to earth.

Holy crap! I am "Old Phil's" ex-roomie and I have ridden that motorcycle, a terrific Triumph. It didn't like to keep running at a stop but man that ride was nice. A motorcycle. No fancy bells and whizzers. Jon's wife stopped by to say hello once when I was visiting. She is super pleasant and I wish I could have become acquainted with him/them while living there. Guess who's getting a call.

Speaking of the doctor giving him a scorning attitude for having to stitch him up: When I destroyed my collarbone in a bike crash, my surgeon was thrilled and enthusiastic to piece it back together! My insurance on the other hand, wasnt too enthusiastic about having to pay for it, I imagine! 🤣 Clearly a matter of doc chose the wrong job.
