The soundtrack is so incredible and for me as an extremely anxious person captures perfectly how adrenaline can make surroundings feel daunting and then the next fill you with such a heady rush of dopamine.

one of the greatest modern film scores/soundtracks around, hands down.

the use of sound in the film gave a dream like quality to the film...IMO.

This video makes me uber happy. It's by Criterion. It's got Jon Brion talking. It has PTA in it. And this video has no dislikes. Life is good.

In my opinion 1 of the most fitting scores ever made for a movie - it really captures what barry is feeling ( the anxiety ) and gives the movie so much of its mood. But i never hear the movie or score talked about its highly underrated

I watched it for the first time the other day, I thought I didn't like it, especially after seeing boogie nights first, I still can't stop thinking about it, I listened to the soundtrack in my car and keep watching interviews to see how they made this film I love it!

I was just coincidentally watching some videos on Punch-Drunk Love... Very excited for this release. Also quite glad Criterion are releasing in the UK now too! I just wish a lot of previous releases could be re-released over here...

Hands and Feet is easily my favorite cue. To someone whom doesn't look into music beyond the surface, it will be just noise. But those who do, we've found an anthem.

Has anyone ever asked if Penguin Cafe Orchestra’s “Music For A Found Harmonium” was an influence on PTA for Punch Drunk? Knowing that he directs guided by music, paces shots via rhythm, it wouldn’t surprise me if he did the same for writing. That piece definitely has a feel to it that gels with the energy of Punch Drunk Love and, well, a found harmonium is a key element in the film for fuck’s sake! There’s got to be a connection there!
