The best thing about your channel other than the education on what to do is how you let us know about what not to do. I'm just starting this hobby of porting and building saws and you and a few others are making it a lot better for me. And the longer the videos the better

Just got done drilling out my carb and putting it back together. I happened to have a unibit that the last step was 12mm which was about perfect. So I went from 3/8 to 12mm and still got a little bitty step leaving the venturi. The unibit worked pretty well as I just put it in a vise and hand drilled it. I'll find out tomorrow if it works. Update: it runs very well! Modified the muffler, opened up the port between the fan and the intake, advanced the timing, bored the carb and shaved the blade screws, unshrouded the air filter. Runs much better than stock.

Thanks for this video. My 42cc craftsman has the same size carb on it. I wonder if it is restricted?😂

That's interesting, have to say that personally i would just slap on another bigger carb cause i don't have advanced machining tools. But also did you noticed that the carb throat is way smaller than the intake boot? And one thing, I've disassembled that alpina 120 buddies of mine and o boy she's rough. Rod bearings are almost gone, the piston has missing chunks cause she hang a ring and seized and the chrome plating is gone. I don't like to say that but if anybody knows about a crank or top end please let me know, in Poland I can't even find any info about that saw not mentioning the parts, only rings are available somwhere in Europe.

Hey there, good sir, do you think the muffler mod ad carburetor boring alone would do any good?

What are your opinions on the LRB pistonsfor the mac 10 series saws? I've heard you mention the wrist pin issue but wanted to know if you'd use the piston and bearings
@bellhoppersaws
@bellhoppersaws 2 жыл бұрын
I have used the piston before with the old bearings and wrist pin just make sure the bearings go in tight
