I still don’t see the point of her being on the iron throne anyway....I mean her WHOLE life since her dragons hatched she already ruled places and was hailed as a queen and the mother of dragons. Even if she sat on the throne, what would be different....she would just continue to rule which she would of already been continue doing. Like it would be nothing new. He didn’t even give her a chance, didn’t even try to change her mind, she said we’ll do it together, somewhere somehow along the way he could’ve saved her, he didn’t even comfort her when she lost her dragon, her best friends, her loyal advisors, he just left her to deal with pain by herself, rejected her when she loved him, he forgot she lost everything fighting for him, after he was done with her he simply killed her...

He _did_ try pleading with Dany at the end, that was Jon giving her a chance. She wasn't convinced. He can't just wait until she burns more cities -- she already burned one and thought it was right, wasn't receptive to his pleas for mercy. She thought mercy was now a weapon to be used against her, she believed waging war on the world was necessary, and didn't view her actions in King's Landing as wrong. Jon didn't just "simply kill" Dany when he was done with her. Jon didn't even want to kill Dany after she burned down a surrendered city, fighting against the idea when Tyrion was urging him to kill her. And Jon didn't even feel it was right to kill her after he did do it, when he saw that Dany was resolved to continuing her destruction. All the way up until just before the end, Jon refused to betray her. He refuses to betray Dany when Varys implores him to, he defends her to his sisters, he swears his sisters to secrecy over his parentage. After Dany burns King's Landing, Jon tries to rationalize her actions to Tyrion. He marched the Northern forces to King's Landing to help Dany take _her_ throne. He abdicated his claim in favour of hers. Jon did fail Dany on Dragonstone and I expect that was because of his own crisis. I think Jon and Dany failed each other when it came to comfort in their individual crisis. Jon was also struggling with the revelation that his whole life had been a lie and that he was related to Dany. Dany didn't really do much to help Jon here because of her overriding fear that people pit Jon's claim against hers. Dany didn't lose everything fighting for him. Dany lost Rhaegal because Dany wanted to march on Cersei immediately and fighting the Night King was in Dany's interest too unless Dany wanted to become Queen of the Zombies. Dany is responsible for her own choices, just like Jon is. She is a queen and leader in her own right. She can't take out her pain and devastation on a city.

@@analise8031 So much truth here. I felt bad for both of them really. They were both struggling with a lot of revelations that kinda upended everything. So much could have been avoided with some serious time after the battle of Winterfell just discussing everything. Like shit, with enough time maybe they would of come to the point where, "Hey you keep saying you love me and I'm your queen. We didn't grow up together. Marry me and we can combine our darn birthrights. They both got weigh-laid by the people around them just noping out of supporting either of them an instead just turning them against each other. They got done dirty by bad writing, plot armor on all the Starks if you ask me and dropped plot threads like that one where making alliances through marriage was supposed to happen.

But bloody hell Jon why did you reject my girl Daenerys when you said she'd be a good queen? Dracarys to that. I'd be paralyzed by grief like Daenerys over losing him just after falling head over heels for him and he'd fallen for me too - I wouldn't care if he was my nephew - valar morghulis and double dracarys to anyone but Jon in saying otherwise and triple dracarys to how Emilia Clarke's character was ruined at the end of the show. I'd just want Jon Snow back in my arms - who wouldn't want to kiss Kit Harington? You know nothing showrunners. Love this edit - long live Jonerys.

I didn't see John's love for her. Dany really loved him, with all her heart, very much. She confessed her love to him, smiled for him and pretended to be happy, even when she was very ill and in pain, she was ready to forgive him anything. He rejected her twice, but she still asked him to be with her, wanted to kiss him, let him do it, after all the humiliation. He's the only one who could break it.

Daenerys Targaryen didn't become the mad queen and didn't burn Kings Landing. On episode 8.5, after the bells rang, she disappeared for the remaining 30 minutes. We only see a flying dragon, sometimes not him at all, unleashing fire everywhere. Daenerys always commanded her dragon during battles, even in previous episodes and seasons. So it was just D & D and their stupidity, who show us a devastated city, in order to manipulate the audience on hating her, and justify her murder on the next episode. When I watched for the first time during quarantine the whole series, never been a fan of the show never watched before, I was in shock for some days after the ending (I finished 73 episodes in two weeks, I had plenty of time). Then I decided to watch it again. For weeks, I hated Jon Snow for what he did, but last days I feel sorry for him, even pity, because some damn foolish writing demolish 8 years good stories. For sure, I'm still depressed of how beloved Daenerys ended, and for sure deserved better.

Stop saying it shouldn't have ended this way! Yes, it was definitly rushed and they would do it better with help of GRRM,but this is the ending Martin intended it to end. Dany was my favorite character, and it truly hurt to see her die,but it had to be done. It is called A Song Of Ice And Fire for a reason. It had to be tragic. It had to hurt. It had to leave emptiness in our hearts. A perfect Westerosi-utopia ending isn't what Martin intended. He wanted to create a love story,so tragic ,that it could surpass Romeo and Juliet,and if you're asking me,it did. With all those amaizing prophecies and foreshadowings of a tragic ending, this is the only right way. I would just like for us to focus on ending in the books,when they are out,because they will definitely have more detail and be even more tragic. Theirs is the Song of Ice and Fire....

He never used her to get to a higher position, his position actually got weaker as he was the King of the North until they fell in love and Jon became the warden of the north. Plus I would argue many characters have stronger wills such as Jon who had to accept that his love became a tyrant and then had to kill her and when he was resurrected he could just but no he decided to stay and fight to take back Winterfell and lost his brother because of it and upon that went to hardhome which would mean people would hate him just to do the right thing.
