@darkstorminc Жыл бұрын
The length of the season bug me more. It was nice when a season was 22 episodes once upon a time...
@snerdterguson Жыл бұрын
Yeah, and that's why the number of truly great tv seasons was so tiny until HBO started the shorter season trend. Sopranos would have been just a good show if there were 22 episodes every season. It isn't a coincidence that the bulk of the greatest tv series ever are shows with seasons ranging from 6-13 episodes. GoT, Stranger Things, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Sopranos, The Wire. Keeping the episode number down allows them to put more work into each one. It allows them to write a complete story without a ton of filler.
@snerdterguson Жыл бұрын
Adding an extra 10-15 minutes just to reach an arbitrary episode length is a terrible way to make tv. It is always better to just write the story and let that dictate the length of the episode.

That would be cool. It would p*ss off soo many star wars fans though. But I think it's a cool story. The problem with all these Jedi who survived is...... where are they in the OT and prequels? Either they die before the OT, or they are out hiding/don't want to be involved, which would be weird.

The inspiration for Jackson playing the Fury character comes from "The Utimates" comic book. The Utimates is a version of the Avengers that Marvel published in the early 2000s. In that series the Nick Fury character resembled Jackson. Previously the character looked like Peter Breck from "The Big Valley". The other Avengers were more grounded, and less heroic. Captain America, for example, is portrayed as a jingoistic jock.
