I've had demon internet for years, they were the only ones to offer isdn support here at the time. In the early 90s, I broke AMS-IX once, a dial-up provider at the time accepted rip2 updates to their routing table from dial-up connections, and also propagated those upstream. Great times 🙂

Fascinating talk, really enjoyed this. As someone who uses a lot of web blocking tools ( Ghostery, Duck Duck go, ublock origin etc etc ) I must admit that when I use the web on other computers I hate the experience, KZbin with adverts is a pretty awful really. IMO though the internet would have gone this way no matter what was done in the early days. I mean, is there another way to monetise it? Superveillance™ though, is not far off the mark ;) Thanks for the talk.

I would be rather more concerned about being separated from Biden by five degrees tha Putin. Shows you can be bright but without the right data crap comes out.

Very poor talk. What was said could have been summarized in 10 minutes. And the speaker offered no solutions, alternatives, or any information on programs being developed to combat the state of the internet. This was like "hey look the sun is very bright. you shouldn't look at it! you might go blind!". Ok thanks for wasting an hour of my time to tell me that.
