I'm a chef. I don't know the first thing about painting cars, but I can spot someone that is a master of their craft from a mile away. This guy is a true OG legend. Watched many hours of him painting cars on KZbin just because it's so relaxing and he truly creates works of art. The time and dedication that goes into his work is just something to marvel at. I've been cooking for 27 years now and I don't know how things are in the world of autobody but in the culinary world, this next generation man....I just don't know. Feel like an old man saying this even though I'm only in my mid forties, but now I know what my grandfather was talking about when he was always saying "kids today....." lol. They just want to go right to advanced techniques without first truly mastering the fundamentals. When you watch this guy paint, just the way he holds the gun and how steady he is, it's all second nature. I imagine people think that about my knife and saute skills. Anyways, if there are any young guys reading this, go watch this man paint, study his fundamentals, practice, don't rush, develop your base. Thanks for this video. As I said, a true OG legend.

@@stardust7930 first he shared its a brandy wine but its over his own mix base of ember orange but he mixed it to get a burnt orange. Thats a far cry from kandy apple red. Also he didn't even mention kandies.

Bonniville Black Cherry, first the orange he used is the base for the candy. Candy paint use basecoat first because the candy paint does not cover well because is tint you need to have a base first that can be silver, orange, white ect ect.. and as for the name wine that is the color he was looking for a red but that look like that.. in conclusion the painting is candy 100%

@@stardust7930 Lol quite aware of what candies (kandies) are. F knows I painted enough cars candy boring red. He was looking for a ruby just to be clear. And unless you are blind ruby, wine or brandy wine is not apple red. You lay down 6-8 coats of candy apple red it will still look red. Lay down 6-8 coats of brandy wine and it will near look black. Huge difference in color. Try mixing the 2 with base tints. Tell me which one you would sooner pay for.
