New Japan isn’t run like aew wwe or any other American promotion. They don’t have weekly television and outside of big shows they just do house shows. Currently Mox isn’t doing anything in AEW and forbidden door will be in June so at most he’s just a transitional champion, but he’s a transitional champion with name recognition in both wwe and aew. If guys like AJ styles and Kenny omega can be IWGP champion then there’s no reason Mox can’t be champion also
