At John 5:28,29 Jesus makes it clear that a worldwide resurrection is coming. "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment." Acts 24:15 "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." Unrighteousness doesn't exist in heaven. So those resurrected to judgment will be resurrected back to life here on earth. If they prove themselves worthy, they will be given everlasting life. John 3:16 Psalm 37:29 "The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever on it." To think about: If the unrighteous are burning in hell for all eternity, then why are they going to be resurrected? Aren't they condemned? Romans 6:7 shows that someone who has died is acquitted from his sins. And can that fiery hell teaching be true if, as Ecclesiastes 9:5 and 10 show "the dead know nothing at all"? If you'd like to discuss this my email address is on my about page. I wish you well.

@@BrianKliewer Salvation is not a performance or of works. It (Salvation) is a gift and cannot be earned. We are given Jesus righteousness because we believed in Him. The judgment for sins was borne at the cross by our Lord Jesus Christ. So the judgment coming is not about sins but for unbelievers rejecting the gift. As for believers the judgment is about our ministering and whether we preached a ministry of reconciliation(grace) or a ministry of condemnation (law). If one preached a ministry of reconciliation(grace) a reward would be awaiting them but if you preached a ministry of condemnation(law) a loss of reward would occur though you would still be in heaven because of accepting the gift. Ephesians 2:8-10 2 corinthians 5:17-21 Romans 10:1-4 Romans 3:21-24 Our Lord Jesus Christ loves you all very much.

My father got me into this in the early 90's. He was a real romantic. He passed a few years ago in what to me were very traumatic circumstances, and now i listen to this song and sing it as if I am not singing to a physical love, but to God. Since my father passed I can't find a way to make it through my day without God, and prayer. I don't go to church, I hate all dogma, but somehow I get from this song something other than what I feel the original idea was. I hope john is satisfied with knowing that his music not only helps lovers find strength in each other, but it has also helped me in an entirely different way. It has helped me come to terms with my fathers passing and it has strengthened my faith. So I say Thank you John.
