We avoid Portland as much as possible for several years. A few months ago my wife and I went to a nice restaurant to celebrate our anniversary at a seafood place. I live in one of those liberal run cities, Stockton ca. it’s a shit show. Crime is out of control. Our cops have been caught multiple times for lying on reports to play down the crime. We had a serial killer 2 yrs back. He shot a women and left her for dead. Cops put it down as assault instead of attempted murder, to avoid a serious statistic. My son was coming home from work late. A drunk driver hit him, they stoped and demanded my son’s insurance info but when he asked for theirs they refused to give it. My son went to wright down their license plate # and they attacked him and beat him badly then left him for dead in the gutter. 911 was called and didn’t show up til the next afternoon ( which is common, they never come when you call for help) and the cop took a report and filed it as a traffic incident. Apparently no crime took place. This is what they do. So no, crime hasn’t gone down it’s out of control. The city is forcing the cops to minimize crimes and falsify reports so that statistics look as if crime has gone down. I challenge these damn liberals that have never even been to the inner cities let alone live here to come and visit Stockton. Spend a few days here or in any democrat run city before you speak on it. Cause it’s living hell on earth. And most of us can’t afford to leave.

I don't understand why the mayor's answer about the hair and makeup was "I'm supporting black-owned small businesses" and not "I'm a public figure and my appearance is a significant part of my job". $30,000 is a lot, but at least you can make the case that having hair and make up professionals when you need them for a professional purpose is going to be more expensive than the average person spends. If that was $30,000 for a year, I feel like that's probably actually pretty cheap, since you're paying probably two or three people to do your hair and makeup before every public appearance. The fact that he jumped straight to "I'm supporting black-owned small businesses" makes me far more suspicious that he's paying way more than he should be and using the jobs to embezzle money or pay off political favors.

The reason people are willing to buy from companies owned by Elon Musk is because he is honest and up front. The vast majority of people want to purchase from somebody that is open and honest. I thought active duty military could NOT be on the Board of Directors or employed by private companies at the same time. I remember when military retiring, especially in certain ranks/positions/MOS', had to wait for 5-7 yrs before being employed by defense contractors. This was to prevent a flow of information that could provide vital confidential data to a company giving them a "leg up" over competitors. How times have changed and NOT for the good. This General on this Board of Directors had to be approved by the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the WH. This is further proof of the weaponization of the federal government against WE THE PEOPLE.

In Oakland and SF every weekend there are multiple sideshows with stolen cars. At least 1 car is set on fire in the middle. Now with fireworks as we approach July 4. Not criminally dangerous at all. The cops are outnumbered and demoralized.
