+TheWarpReaver Only after he reviewed it and gave the final OK or had some changes made. When they say "he ran the show", they weren't kidding. Of course he had a writing staff. No one guy can do all the necessary tasks required to stay up to speed on all the current events of the day AND organize and manage a production like the Daily Show. Not only that, to stay relevant, you need a sounding board of other people you trust to give honest insight in to what you're going to present. But to insinuate that he was just some production company puppet parroting anything plopped down in front of him is a gross mischaracterization.

Facts also why did the guy above you prevented ppl from replying to his comment it's not like I'll bite or insult him/her
***** I don't mind that, so much as his DECEPTIVENESS in claiming fact and calling it comedy when caught, as well as his favoritism in attacking one side and defending the other, ruthlessly pursuing his narrative. He's so full of shit, people didn't tune in to watch him instead of news because he was funny, they thought it was the truth, also bullying his opinion by insulting anyone who didn't agree. He's the Bernie Madoff of comedy.
@SovereignStatesman9 жыл бұрын
***** No question. From the Jewish Press: "Stewart’s slams are presented not as mere humor, but instead as truth dressed up as if he is the “bad boy saying what others won’t” angle. That’s where his shtick fits in with the comedy. It’s as if he’s bold enough to say out loud what others will only think. Of course he’s wrong about that, there is nothing refreshingly scandalous about the trope." However it's worse, in that Stewart deliberately FABRICATES his evidence then presents it as true, and his idiot-audience believes it. NOBODY questions anything anymore.

+MIKESNORTNOY the fuck is a cucked beta?
@laidiesman04179 жыл бұрын
+crunch9876 My stupid is a bit rusty but I believe "cucked" is a shortening of cuckold, meaning someone else is banging you're wife/gf. The "beta" most likely has it's roots in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World where people are bred into a social hierarchy based on the Greek alphabet (alphas are the strongest and smartest and get the best women, drugs, vacations, etc. while betas are more average to keep them docile, and lower classes than them are practically brain dead). Of course he probably picked it up from weightlifter forums or the rather expansive cuckold section of Pornhub and is using it to insinuate that wanting a black man (however qualified) to be vice president is an act of weak cuckoldry. The world may never know.

I don't think Stewart is one of those who can stay away from this type of show for too long. I think what's happening is he noticed that his home life was being put on constant hold to do the show...and probably heard some guff from his wife, too...and decided, you know what? I've had a really long run on this show. I've done a lot and created something that I can now pass on to someone else. But he's 52, not 82, and I know he's still got a lot to say, so whenever the right opportunity for him comes along, maybe a few years down the line once he's had a chance to get away from the limelight for a while, maybe he'll jump back into our lives when we least expect it. I, for one, can't wait for that day to come. :)

Every yokel on here commenting that Stewart should run for president seems 100% oblivious to the reality of who this wonderful man is: a comedian, an advocate, and someone who despises interviewing politicians. He would be miserable as a politician. You're asking an eagle to be a mudskipper. Appreciate the eagle. Don't ask it to get mud all over its wings just because the mud skippers aren't doing what they're supposed to do. Get better mudskippers. Make mudskippers become eagles. And the analogy is exhausted.
