great honest vid that...you dont half work hard but you get the results..... id have loved to see you fish that hemp line with one of those softer 6 or 7m italian telescopic whips to hand with a flick tip.? are these modern low diameter mono lines any good for river fishing. ? ive recently tied a few hooklengths -(just getting back into it) an the low diameter "silstar match team" line has amazing strength for the diameter, ... but they seem VERY fragile.... ive had a few very carefully wetted and tied nicely hooklengths simply snap when i test them.... im leaning towards the older bayer perlon and maxima. am i an old fart out of touch..?
@JonArthur4 жыл бұрын
Just use what you are confident with I think, but Silstar is not accurate (0.02mm thicker than stated) and Bayer/Maxima are definitely thicker than stated. But it's all down to knowing what each line is capable of, which comes with practice

Jon,what size rigs would you recommended to make up for the Avon,thank you
@JonArthur6 жыл бұрын
Evesham varies from 3ft to 15ft so you need anything from 0.2g to 3g for normal fishing, flat floats from 3g up to 6g if ligging on.

If you catch a pike what net do you put it in
@JonArthur5 жыл бұрын
None, it goes straight back as they don't count in most matches.
