I WOULD HAVE SIMPLY CRIED if I came this night omg omg omg. I can't fathom this right now. Lines Vines & Trying Times the full album straight through?!? This is my fav album of theirs ever. It gives me the most nostalgia. I remember the summer LVATT was released like it was yesterday.

It's just astounding how good the Brothers sound live - and how much they've improved vocally in 15 years. Now, I still think that "Lines, Vines..." is not a good album compared to their others, mainly because they tried maturing musically too quickly, and they valued quantity over quality (Jonas was still under Hollywood Records - owned by Disney - and their music had to be churned out, hence three LPs in three years). This being said, the 1-2-3 punch of "What Did I Do...", "Much Better", and "Black Keys" are a few of their best songs, period. Addressing some more "deep" topics - fallout from breakups, depression - seemed like a glimpse into a more effective transition away from the Mouse. Turns out the Bros just needed more time to focus on their music, switch labels, and change their sound.
