Do they use amplification? I've heard acoustic are fantastic but with 15k in the audience I wondered.

If you ever wondered what a tenor aria sung by a baritone would sound like, this gives a pretty good indication. What makes Italian tenors so exciting is the brightness, the squillo, which Kauffman lacks for the most part.
