That would be a lot to translate and my English isn't that good. Most of the time they are talking about him singing instead of Beczala in Boheme on August 4, about how versatile he is, about his special timbre, about privacy when fans recognize him on the street and towards the end about his do-it-yourself hobby (in this case programming dishwashers so that they don't beep when they are finished).

Most certainly *not* a baritone. Having heard him live in Tosca, Carmen, Walküre, Adriana Lecouvreur, Faust, and in recital there is no question he is a tenor. In fact, he has less strength in his lower range than many other tenors who sang similar repertoires. The strength of his voice is in the top. When he sings a high Bb or B his voice really blooms. It is very easy to hear.

Ever heard about a Bariton singing Bacchus! Who cares what he is as long as he sings like a tenor :-).

I really wish that we could have English subtitles so that we can understand what Jonas is saying. Is there some way that we can get a translation?

A pity we did not hear that Bohema maybe he would have somewhat improved that subsultural-postmodern mess

Man, what are you talking about: He is a tenor with a big voice, who needs space! And a bariton can not sing high notes with his sound and direction. Do not transfer your own experience on others ;-) And by the way: singing is ever "artificial"...

Jonas Kaufmann is a Bariton and sings with a artificial voice.

I agree. A Bariton overtake a Tenor role! No problem at all! But he dosen't sing! Do you not understand!? Its not singing wit he does. Its all "kuenstliches Gedudel" and has nothing to do with singing!
