Die Stimme ist völlig überfordert ....gestern hörte ich Livestream aus Royal Opera House Andrea Chénier mit Jonas Kaufmann. Da sang nur der bekannte Name eines bekannten Sängers, der Weltstar-Tenor genannt wird. Da trat der Name auf, aber keine Tenorstimme , fähig, den vokalen Anforderungen der Rolle gerecht zu werden.

There sung on the stage of Royal Opera House only a famous name but not the voice of a famous tenor ......excellent performance , by the way, it is Maestro Pappano's last production for Royal Oprea House. It was real excellent : stage design, acting of all singers , the singing .....except the tenor ( a pity because it is a tenor's opera ). With all respect to Jonas Kaufmann i e to his marvellous career but not to his destroyed voice , a voice overrated since years , overrated by admirers, critics and by a managenent creating hypes.......Thanks for feedback, always welcome

@@meisterwue Well of course you have your opinion but I don't agree with it. I was at the opening night in the ROH and he was a very fine tenor indeed on that occasion. I think it is a bit foolish to say that he is overrated as a tenor when there is a great livestream of his performance playing in cinemas all over the world proving you to be completely wrong. It is ridiculous to even attempt to suggest that the tenor role was being sang by somebody else, which seems to be what you are implying in your first comment. Jonas Kaufmann has a unique voice which is instantly recognisable. He is in particularly fine voice at present I am just so sorry that you could not hear the beautiful tones in his voice and vocal dexterity during his performance in Verona and in his excellent run of Andrea Chénier performances in London.

Ich, als Italiener, habe das ganze Spektakel aus der Arena di Verona live im italienischen Fernsehen gesehen. Es war einmalig, so viele Musiker und Chormitglieder auf der Bühne zu sehen und alle Artisten, die aufgetreten sind. Die ganze Atmosphäre in der Arena di Verona zu sehen, ist immer ein großes Erlebnis, aber an diesem Abend war es wirklich etwas besonderes ! Die höchsten Autoritäten des italienischen Staates, angefangen mit dem Staatsoberhaupt, waren anwesend. Italien feierte in großem Stil die Tatsache, dass die große italienische Opera zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt wurde. 👏👏👍🇮🇹

@@30306 dann verstehe ich , dass es Dir zusagte, das Spektakel in Verona, eine wirklich einzigartige Kulisse. Ich bin seit 50 Jahren mit Oper beschäftigt . Passioniert, ich finde Verona grossartig. Aber eben nicht mit sog Weltstars , die keine sein sollten, aus dem schlichten Grund, weil ihre vokale Leistung nicht ihrem Ruf entspricht, im Gegenteil....Hr Kaufmann ist vokal längst matt gesetzt, er war auch nie eine wirklich herausragende Stimme , ich bin auch nicht allein mit dieser Haltung und die riesige Fangemeinde muss mic nicht kümmern....ich kritisiere auch nur die Stimme und ihre Technik, nicht die Person, denn Jonas Kaufmann ist ein klasse Typ.....aber nicht die Stimme und DAS ist der Punkt für mich
