I love this video. Nobody can ever play Barnabas like Jonathan Frid did. He is one in million. I love this man. He forever has my heart.❤ Rip my love.

I've never heard if he was involved in athletics, but there was a fluidity and grace when he walked that was mezmerizing.

He has a remarkable face for the shadows. His is, indeed, a great aristocratic profile, befitting the gentleman vampire that he portrayed both elegantly and eloquently. His is the one, true profile of Barnabas Collins...now, and forever. Thank you for a brilliant video, rich in imagery and music.

+Eduardo Barriga Yes, true, as he is a good man at heart. He loses himself for awhile in 1796 and 1967 but after becoming human starts to change.

+Matilda Woodhouse yes but so mean when poor Maggie started to go out of her mind, and I'm no Maggie fan, but it was so sad with her in that dungeon room, he dint even care.

Marilyn Willett I like Maggie a lot. Well he'd lost his own mind- he was half crazy himself so people do extreme things when they are like that.

+Matilda Woodhouse yes, ill stick up for him, i adore him. i thought about being in that dungeon type of room, so cold, dark and he refused to have electricity, so i guess Willie took freezing cold showers, but i would have endured it to be with B.

Another great video compilation, Patricia! I too appreciate all the little nuances of his facial expressions. He could really bring out a lot of character without saying a word.

That is so true, Michele, he did have a great skill of expression, and of voice. If one either mutes the volume or closes one's eyes, one would still experience a compelling performance.

Beautifully done, with Debussy's beautiful Clair de' lune. Loved this! Frid was so expressive and mesmerizing. Better than John Barrymore vibes.

He frequently talked about how he was a "slow study" with learning lines and how hellish it was for him during the early days of "DS" to learn the script. At least with "DD" he didn't have to memorize any lines!

Oh, yes, that voice too! When I watched "The Devil's Daughter", I was flabbergasted that he was playing a mute character! WTH!
