Mr. Harris (Dr Smith), Billy Mumy (Will Robinson), and even the Robot, got much more screen time than the parents did on this show.

I have a letter from Mr, Harris from many years ago. He was a truly decent and kind man whose memories I will always cherish.

When I was a kid I *hated* that the show moved away from trying to serious into the campy Dr. Smith hour it became, but looking back with the 20/20 vision of decades I see that it had to be. The show became a living thing and evolved in its own way. Harris was an amazing actor and a powerful presence.

Guy was more then" a walk on" His role as listed as TV,s top all time dads and this Character was noble and a good role modal and not drab. I wish guy could have seen this. I think they could have been friends if they put their egos aside.

Jonathan Harris was a wonderful man. I met him at a convention. I know he felt bad for the changes in the parts on the show but quite frankly, I think the show was much more interesting with Dr. Smith, Will and the Robot. They were the most interesting characters and had more opportunities for story lines.

At least YOU realised the rift that: the roles caused; the supreme level of acting cemented, and with respect to the characters; the 'fabric' that ultimately surrounded and encapsulated all the emotion and feelings that the shows' portrayal of the family "Lost In Space" that was, AND, realising all of the above - as a rift between you and Guy - you tried to make amends and ameliorate the differences, but to no avail. SUCH a shame. Why need it be thus? Thank you 'Zachary' for playing such an incredible (and horrifying role for a child to witness - my own recollection) role to perfection. I have no doubt that this is what bothers Guy so much. His role is of the perfect father and as such - as is in life - is so undervalued, so little recognised, and so little rewarded... I can feel for him. As you so obviously do. GOD bless, GB. I know i haven't expressed myself here well. But I hope you take my meaning accurately. :)

I really appreciate his honesty, although he blames himself for what he had done. By the way, I can't understand the word he is saying in 1:01. "He became almost (what?)".

What was it that happened to cause the line of divide between the two? Anyone?
