This is a live recording from a morning worship set during the 2023 18 Inch Journey. Led by Jonathan Helser, we sang and came together as a school to worship before a teaching session. This is a rhythm we do every week durning the Journey. Before receiving information, we posture our self to receive adoration from the Father. I always wonder why a lot of us worship with our eyes closed and keeping our hands in like we are little children afraid of touching and looking at EACHOTHER. If we are in relationship to God we are in relationship with each other. Why does it seem like we are so afraid to look up and experience the living God in one another? There is so much beauty in that! It makes me sad when we enter public worship as if we were home alone…worship is radical and connecting and something to be shared !

It is often a learned behavior in Christian culture so people just do it without thinking or knowing why. I worship with eyes open and also closed to avoid distractions as I worship the Lord. Have mercy and ask your questions. Love the Lord and He will show you the way!
