Oh yes please Jonathan - a news letter would be fantastic. Even if some of us don’t live in London it would still be super to read about shops you visit. We can then check them out ourselves online if we cannot visit. Fabulous collection of new wool you have bought. I am sitting outside knitting and watching you - the weather is amazing in Cumbria. Looking forward to your update next time. 🌞🌞

I am binge-watching your videos while quarantining since Covid has come to our home. Thus, I am exactly a year behind the current episodes. I loved your bike rides to yarn shops. I appreciate your statement “I don’t want knitting to be a chore, but a refuge”. I am currently working on Sari Nordland cabled drop shoulder sweater called Gotham. Instead of socks around the edges, I am making toddler sweaters for great great nieces and new babies on the way via my daughters pals. I am basing them on the Livresque Design from Espace Tricot. I derive extra value from watching your vlog along with Les Garçons: keeping me atuned to a younger talented group of designers and dyers.

I believe many of us are experiencing a mental fatigue that is causing loss of knit mojo. Such a crazy time in this world. Totally understand wanting a simple knit. Not really mindless knit . Love Andrea Mowry😂 I always use paper for measuring , they are standard in size and easy to estimate. All knit mags should print a ruler

Hi Jonathan! I love your podcast! I live in Superior, WI at the western tip of Lake Superior in the USA. There is only one local yarn shop near me, so the thought of visiting London yarn shops sounds so wonderful and fun. You are so fortunate to live there! Tours of local shops would be lovely, and being a lover of coffee, I would love those reviews too. Just...know that your podcast is also enough. Don't stretch yourself too thin, because we love following along with you knitting projects. Cheers Jonathan! Have a wonderful day!

You are a joy to watch, I love your excitement and delight with your shawl [fabulous and loved it, I must look up that pattern], your yarn for your next projects and your socks. It is wonderful to hear about all the knitting shops and the different yarns, you make such considered purchases. Because you asked, yes I am currently summer knitting, technically swatching while watchIng, for a cotton top called Huevos by Carol Feller [an Irish designer] and if the pandemic has taught s anything it is to do what you love, so if you want to do blogs, websites and newsletters, do it...we would love it and you can make the time work for you.

I enjoy your podcast and love to see what you knit. I would love to see your movies of the places near you and some of the yarn shops in your area. I am binge-watching your videos as Covid has invaded our household of two people. I love this statement “I don’t want knitting to be a chore, but a refuge.” As an artist/craftsperson in another field, the refuge I find in knitting is one of “no-pressure”. No deadlines, no reviews, no reputation to have to live up to. Simply the bliss of repeated small movements, endless new techniques to learn, discovery of super-talented younger-generation designers and dyers , like Andrea Mowry and Aimee Gille and all those guys as well. But I am a year behind. Where shall I be by Monday? Thanks for your vlog. Very appealing.

Bonjour Jonathan ! Love your vlog and to see your future projets and finished projects! I’m doing some summer knitting! Socks for my 12 years old son, socks for my partner, started an Arn and Carlos jumper for my partner, a summer top for me and I’m swatching for the Rocket it Tee! Lots of projects on the go! Funny thing is that the Arn and Carlos jumper is made from the Norwegian wools that you have but! Same colours! I couldn’t find a seller here in Canada or in Québec so I used Knit PIck instead! See you in three weeks! PS: Love the way you indicate the information on the screen with the pen! Andrée

Hi, I just found your podcast today, watched Michael from piece4peace and Kevin & Ray from Needles at the ready, they both mentioned you ... I don't always comment on videos but I felt exactly what you were saying about not wanting knitting to be a chore! I used to knit professionally for a company in Flamborough knitting fishermans sweaters in fingering weight on 2.5mm needles, while it was a great time and I enjoyed it for a few years, my wrists let me down with the constant ribbing and cable work that it became a chore :( now I only knit what I love for myself and my wife and friends and family :) love the podcast so far, keep going, you make me smile so thank you :) xoxo

Hi Jonathan. I am truly enjoying your KZbin videos. I love the konkon bleu yarn. So pretty. I would love to watch videos of the inside of yarn shops. I love to see all the different yarns and all the different types of shops and it would be really exciting to have a field trip to some yarn shops. Maybe as a thank you to your subscribers you could have a yarn shop offer a 10 to 20% discount using a certain code from the yarn shops that you tour. Just a thought. Because I know if I saw a yarn in the shop that I liked, I would be ordering some. I do not live close to yarn shops so I order most of my yarn online.

You are going to be very busy, but you have some great projects lined up. I am working on the "Twinkle and Dance" socks by Kay Jones of the Bakery Bears. I'm using a skein of yarn from the Crafty Toads, called Friends, Waffles, Work. It is an 80/20 fingering weight. Their yarn is so soft, I've made 4 pairs of socks and really love them. Take care of yourself and I look forward to seeing you next time.

Hi, Jonathan, I’m new to knitting this past year and I just discovered your podcast. I So love everything about it. Your caring and passion for people and for knitting radiates from you. Thank you for daring to step forward and to share your projects and your thoughts. Also, Thank you for the recommendation for the Moon Whistle shawl from Andrea Mowry. I ordered the yarn immediately and hope to cast on soon. Your ravelry site was extremely helpful in locating the pattern and the yarn quickly. I’m currently knitting my first pair of socks and am learning so much. Please do a review of your fave coffee shops. I don’t know when I’ll be in London, but I can drink coffee and knit while I’m vicariously enjoying your visits. Kindest regards and kudos on a lovely podcast. Staying well and healthy, Ellen (Bee) in Mesa, Arizona P.S. I would love to see your bike! I have a folding electric bike. Although too hot right now to ride in the desert. You spoke about how knitters will point out the “flaws” in their work. That made me think that we do that as people. We will point out our “flaws” to others when they are what make us special. My heart was touched and I was reminded that I don’t need to point out the flaws in my knitting or in my life. Socks are big in summer because of The Crazy Sock Lady and Shark/sock Week with KnittyNatty.

That was great! It is hot as hell!!! lol Buuut after that it was so, so hot here in Rjukan I actually started on a proper summer knit, a V-neck tee in linen/cotton/viscose, Line from Sandnes Garn. Both patterns are self drafted as I am seriously picky about how I want my knits to look. :P

I always comment too soon! lol (see previous bubble :p). I did some winding last night and am swatching tonight, with Knitologie Super Sock (Knitcrate yarn) for the Summer Folk tee by Annie Lupton of Boho Chic Fiber Co. (new release!) I have yet to swatch my BC Garn Lino-linen for a Ranunculus and Malabrigo Silkpaca (that I've treasured for a year now, waiting for the perfect project!) for another Ranunculus. I also have a linen/cotton/tencel blend for the Gradient top by Hinterm Stein. I have socks on the needles for hubby that I just finished the GSR heel and only have the foot left. I have a frogged Summer Sorrel that I keep saying I am going to co again...my icord co was far too tight, even though I met gauge, and I'm kind of turned off by it now-haha. Anyways, your yarn acquisitions are speaking my colour name! Cannot wait to see what you make! :)

Hi Jonathan, Socks looking good. No one is going to notice any different lengths under trousers. (This is why I always do TAAT) The Moonwhistle is lovely and certainly is big, but will be toasty in the cold weather. Personally I love a big shawl. I overbuy yarn too, so I’m always thinking what shall I do with the rest - but a lot of it is sock yarn, so there are always socks. Your yarn all looks nice, I especially like the Darnie. If you do do a newsletter, I would subscribe, but do whatever you feel good about. Still not sent off the Marie Curie socks(bad Trisha), Kokopelli shawl was finished last week, but I’ve only been able to block it today ( Our daughters insist on using the bed that I use for blocking when they come to stay - how selfish is that🤣). Crochet cardigan still ongoing, that may be for next year, as I’ll be probably finish it, and the weather will turn cold. DK cardi has been split for amholes, so working on back and fronts separately. Socks haven’t been touched, and I want to start a mosaic shawl for Ruth of Ruth loves to knit’s Across the Pond shawl Kal, so may do that next week. Take care

I love the idea of a newsletter! I’m currently knitting the Rift sweater by Jacqueline Cieslak and I recently finished the Rocket Tee. It seems that many people are knitting the Rocket Tee lately. Both of these projects are wool. It doesn’t bother me to knit smaller projects with wool in the summer. Wearing them will be another matter!

I loved watching this, I went to Knit with Attitude when I visited London in 2019 and it was so cool. I hadn't really been a yarn tourist before:) Your projects are great and I love your enthusiasm for all things knitting!
