As a life long Oregon fan, all i can say is.....Jonathan Smith is a pain. He was a pain to deal with as a qb and a pain to deal with as an opposing coach. He gets everything out of his players, and his teams are notoriously hard-nosed. He comes from a Chris Petersen, Mike Riley, Dennis Erickson lineage. He is almoat always the most prepared guy on the field. One of 3 coaches to beat my Ducks in the last 2 years. The others are Kalen De Boer and Kirby Smart. He will make oppsoing fan bases or coaches pull their hair out. He will find some weakness you didn't know you had and hammer it all game. And when you adjust, he will already have multiple re adjusts waiting. All these games you list as 50 50....are probably more like 60 40 or more in his favor. Also, his teams dont give up in November. They get better. I won't be surprised at all if they win 6 or 7 games this year. Ill take the over ty.

Brother, he won 10 games in 2022, last year he could’ve 100% won 10 games again if he didn’t already have 1 foot out the door, he took over one of the worst schools in the power 5 and had 3 straight winning seasons, and his recruiting and nil he’ll be able to do at msu is beyond what he could do at Oregon state, don’t be surprised if he wins 9 to 10 games a year brother

@@scottberden8583 I think our defense will give us a chance against Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa. We have to limit turnovers and those could be coin flip games. There is little room for error between 7-5/5-7. We needed that BC game but we could be better taking that loss if Aiden is more careful with the rock. I respect your take my man.

Of players who would have started this year, they lost 3 on defense and 2 on offense to the portal. Also lost 2 O linemen and a D rush end to graduation. The vast majority of portal losses were guys who were unlikely to be in the 2-deep. Most importantly, the coaching staff is totally new this year (except WR coach), and most of the staff came with Smith from Oregon State.

MSU is recruiting in the top 50 after having a huge program scandal and a horrible past 2 years. It’s crazy how after 2 down years you think a historic program like MSU will just fade when Michigan had to go through a whole decade rebuild before being relevant again. During the Dantonio era MSU was recruiting top 25, if they are even a little consistent they can get back at that point. Not to mention how much the university is investing in the program. More than ever before.

IMO, them being "little brother" has nothing to do with their roster or record. When they were on that little run of theirs, they were STILL little brother. It's because of that school's inferiority complex. Even when they are on top of the hill, they STILL believe that they are not as good as UM. It's their mentality that will always make them little brother.
