I work a late shift, so my wife and daughter are already asleep when i get home. Often ill sit in my car outside the dark home for a few minutes, walk the long driveway to get the mail, and spend a few minutes in the bedroom doorway listening to them breathing in their sleep. Helps to dull the aches. Inside and out.

Same brother I work two jobs and the other half complains but it keeps a roof over our kiddos head. I live in a small town and money’s hard to come by. As a matter of fact as I type this at 9pm I’ve worked since 7:30am for the second time this week plus I take care of the house and Cars I only get one hour to myself at the sacrifice of my own sleep.

Im a Hispanic female in my really early 20s and since about 5 years ago I started doing this. At first it was just cuz I was happy to be able to drive and have a car, then at some point along the way both driving and sitting here alone was sort of like therapy and a pause to life where I can just breathe and sometimes cry in peace. God bless guys, hang in there just a little bit longer, ok?:)

I love this song. I'm a father, a husband and a son. I fight fire and do landscaping. I sit and think about every day every decision I made and the work I put in. I think about life and my family. I wonder if I do enough for my son and wife. When I run the calls or get up at 5am to go do landscaping. Or go see someone breathe their last breath. Life sucks sometimes but as fathers we protect and provide. We also are humans. We shed tears and sacrifice so much so our little ones can thrive. Shout out to my fellow firefighters and fathers

I am ruthless, I am only broken by what I allow, I build houses I may never afford, i wake up before the sunrise and return by sunset, i went to college to find out my degree means nothing to people just minimum wage. I refuse to be broken by this world because if I fall theres no one to protect my wife, so I sit In the dark garb her favorite food and put a smile on my face and Bask in her love as I walk through the door or walk to the bed seeing her hold our photos, and it builds me stronger.

As a firefighter, there are so many images that play through my mind listening to this song. Images and thoughts stay so fresh, espically after spending 8+ hours on a fire coaching my son's soccer team a couple of days ago. A hard fought battle to a win and just wanting to spend the rest of the day with my family but being pulled away to help contain the bad decisions of others. There are several songs that have been released recently that hit HARD and have so much truth to them. Keep it up, your work is much appriciated.
