As someone who's been back to a few houses I lived in when I was a child, it depends how much the new owners change. Once we went back to a house and they hadn't painted ANY of the walls. It was bizarre. But usually people change a bunch of stuff and it's different, but also somewhat recognizable.

I love the idea but...How do you choose which friends to spend the day with if your friends aren't all friends with each other? For example my work friends or college friends maybe I do something maybe not, depends on the year. But with my 5 best friends I have to do something, for me it’s a holiday for those kind of friends

When I moved from my apartment to my house, there were two major things I had adjust to that I hadn't anticipated. 1) Not knowing how to get around in the dark, which is how I gauge my familiarity with any space. Literally got lost walking from the bathroom to my bedroom one night, and panicked until I realized that there were a limited number of options and I wasn't exactly starving in the tundra. 2) I was prepared for not knowing where things go, but I was unprepared for not knowing the second place to look. You know how if something isn't in the first place, there's a second place you might have put it? That's the one that threw me.

My parents moved out and it got torned and the city will build some kind of halls on it. Perhaps the solution to the gym problem is getting a treadmill and/or home weight set. That way you can get some working out in without leaving home, so you're there when Beth needs you, and don't have to commute. Of course, it's probably pretty expensive, and since you won't have a spotter/trainer there are limits on what you can safely do, but perhaps it'd be a compromise worth looking into

My parent just moved out of the house that we moved into when I was 2, we drove by it at Christmas in an attempt to see how our dog would react instead it was me who was crying. I haven't been living in that province since before they sold it and the last time i saw the house it wasn't up for sale yet. It was really hard going back to a place that I had grown up in and knowing that it wasn't ours anymore. However, if I were to go to the house we lived in before that i probably wouldn't even care.

We moved house, but stayed in the same town (i was like 10)and years later my first girlfriend invited me to her friends house... which was my old house... and god that was a trip. Walking round knowing all the rooms and everything. Going to get a drink and the glasses were in the wrong cupboard, living room was arranged wrong. But "my room" still had the dent in the wall from me throwing a CD player at it

I totally understand your confusion over the new house. I had a house that I lived in for 8 years. I grew into the house and remodeled a few rooms in the house. I ended up having to give the house back to the bank. I still drive by the house and say..."aww man, the new owners changed (this or that). I never had the money to fix up the whole house as much as I wanted (electrical, walls, etc), but I felt at home the moment I walked into the house and would buy it back in a heartbeat if the opportunity arose.

Ä or ä, at least in Swedish, is pronounced like "ehhh" and Ystänvänpäivä is a Finish-Swedish word with is a language mixed of Swedish and Finnish (Finnish is the language of Finland and Swedish is the language of Sweden, FYI). But in Swedish we just say "Alla hjärtans dag" ,and not Ystänvänpäivä, with directly translates to "All hearts day". Regards from Sweden.
