Bishop J.A. Blake Sr. is the father of Bishop J.A. Blake Jr. and Presiding Bishop Emeritus Charles E. Blake Sr. He served on the General Board and became 2nd Assistant Presiding Bishop before God called him home in 1984.

Oh my God....Bishop Blake leaned back, put his hand over his ear and *_hollored,_* just like all Holiness preachers used to do at that high point during their message when the Holy Ghost anointing was heavily upon them while they preached. It's so good to see that again. My, my, my what glorious times we used to have at Convocation, when so many of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs of the Faith still lived. It's great to see "Mr. Church of God in Christ" himself, the stalwart and formidable Bishop Otha Miema Kelly on the platform. He was one of our Church's greatest leaders. We have *NOTHING* like these holy Men of God in this generation, who preached, proclaimed and practiced true, unadulterated, uncompromising *HOLINESS.* They were one of a kind. Oh that we might repent, and come back to the God of our fathers.

EYES haven’t seen, and EARS haven’t heard, what God has prepared for His children. These men of God may be in Glory, but God still has men and women who still preach like that and live holy. Looking back inspires us to press forward. In the last days, God will POUR out HIS Spirit on ALL flesh. We have to be fasting and praying that the Holy Ghost brings them forth. God expects us to do what Jeremiah 29: 11 thru 14, says. If you, me and others practice that scripture individually, at the next Convocation there will be a big Holy Ghost EXPLOSION just like in 1906/07 and greater. And it started with prayer and fasting. The formula is the same! God used Bishop J.A. Blake and Bishop Charles E. Blake greatly and still using Bishop Blake. But he even says, he sees you in the future, and you look much better than you do right now. I truly believe that for myself, and for COGIC. That light came on in 1907, and has caused millions to be in heaven today, including my sweet parents. And we are still carrying that light. We can do it again and reach more people!
