Bought this guitar a couple months ago and boy I thought I would be the last person to ever play with humbuckers. Unpopular opinion but I actually love the coil tapped tones (especially in the middle position). My only issue with the guitar is that I’m not a huge neck humbucker person but she plays like a beauty! The only mods I have made was adding prs locking tuners and removing some of the gloss on the neck. If you are considering getting a prs se I would highly recommend this guitar for your arsenal!!!

I absolutely love the coil tap sounds on my SE Custom 24, beautiful sparkly clean sounds and something a little different than my Fenders. I've been recording with it a lot lately. I've been eyeing the semi-hollow 22 as well.

Same for me with the gloss on the neck. Sanded it off with green scotch Brite pads and it's smooth as silk now

Just picked up one of these new at guitar center for $530. It had been marked down for an extremely minor blemish that took the guitar center employee a good two minutes to locate for me. He even mentioned that it had been marked down way too much. I feel like I got a pretty good deal.

Great demos. Love your playing. I almost passed on this guitar because you said that you thought that it had a 12 inch radius and jumbo frets. It doesn’t. It has a 10 inch radius and medium jumbo frets, which are what I like. Thank you for placing the specs on screen. Keep up the good work.

Nice playing. You let the sound of the guitar shine. I have a PRS SE Mira which I love. It's very similar (22frets, same pickups, but solid body and no tremolo). I've been wishing it had that latter, and now that I've discovered these guitars, I'm getting one! That color rocks too!

Great playing! You can find this guitar for 520£ now online, I think it is very hard to find an electric guitar as good sounding and versitable for that money. The vintage trem on these guitars can not be faulted, after much abuse it still holds it tune very well. I have tried other vintage trems , like on Fenders for double the money that does not hold tuning as well after being used. For a non lockable tremolo you can not find much better at any price. I would buy a PRS SE Standard of any kind and switch out the bridge pickup for a Dimarzio Super Distortion for around 90£ and keep the neck pickup for that great PRS sound and you have a really solid "cheap" guitar.

Hey Jon! I picked up this guitar last friday, and I love the sound. But I noticed something weird - all of the photos I can find online of the guitar for places like sweetwater or guitar center have pickups which have holes on either side of the 1st or 6th string poles on the pickups. Same on reverb. But mine didn't. And looking at your video at 1:04, yours doesn't either. It also looks like our serial numbers are from the same batch (CTID*****). So weirdly I think you actually answered a really nerdy question of mine about whether or not they were counterfeit pickups, lol. Looks like ours are special.

Just got one, the neck pickup on humbucker is so weak, one of the pickups is bad or wiring to it. That's just pap from PRS. The bridge sounds awesome.

I have one of those and so much of it I like: light, coil splitting, trem. However the pickups just don't speak to me. Both your G&L Doheny 2/HB and the V12 videos are great, and both have a quality sound that is delicious and the pickups seem much more articulate. Wonder if you have any thoughts on changing out pickups to something else on a guitar like this PRS? Thx for your demos!

JON! Great channel man, I'm going to pull the trigger on this or the Eriza Verde 24/08 as a studio beast. I wanted this initially but then I saw the 24/08 has a mild upgrade in the pickups and all the different tonal options. I have felt that hard to compare on YT.... I used to have a Carvin ( 25 inch) and the neck position was just off... One would think with the neck pickup closer to the bridge it would be less muddy..... And it is....but it just ain't right 🤣🤣 Thanks again for the great reviews

I recently bought this guitar. I also tried the Zach Myers, and I thought the Zach Myers neck was thicker, so it was harder for me to get my hand around. The neck on this Santana Yellow SE Custom 22 feels a bit thinner to me, so that's why I bought it. So far I'm extremely happy with it. Jonathan, great review and of course, great playing as always.

@alex gochman definitely has a straty tone when you split the pickup and put it in the middle position. I have this guitar and i actually love the sound of that position. It definitely has the start tone in that position but it’s definitely not 100%.
