This is one of my favorite songs ever and every time I listen to it I think of my older brother who sadly took his own life a few years back. He was a brilliant musician in his own right and had so many other talents, from painting to cooking. He struggled with alcohol addiction since he was sixteen and it drove him to some bad places and some lows even though he tried his very best to fight it. The rest of my family only remembers him for his addiction, but I still remember and honor him for his good points and for the person he really was underneath. This song makes me think of his struggle but more importantly, I'm reminded of the man behind the addiction, and that man was truly a good one.
