I think just depends on who you talk to and how old they are. Most of my friends love Oliver and Company and it's music. But if you mean Disney movies that get referenced frequently then yes I'd have to agree.

H34dz Of course it’s gonna differ depending on age group and such, but yeah, I meant that in the greater pantheon of animated Disney movies, this tends to be one of the least mentioned ones. Heck, that goes for most of their animated movies spanning The Rescuers through Oliver and Company (not counting Roger Rabbit, as that one is well remembered for many other reasons). It’s called their dark decade for a reason. Which is a shame, since there’s some good movies in there, but it was still their low point in terms of sales and visibility.

Oh my goodness! I feel like a complete imbecile! I just realized that the "Ooh-ooh-ooh" bits are supposed to be like a dog howling. I seriously should have realized this sooner. I mean, Dodger even howls in the movie during this song. All this time, I just thought they were vocalization. A lot of people in regular songs will use "oh" or "ooh" or "ah" just to keep the melody going without actual words, but in this particular song, it's supposed to be a melodic way to mimic a dog's howl.
