Gryphon has joined Kensei in being solid characters that manage to feel fair to fight as your right reads allow a good back and forth between offense and defense imo

Day one he was overturned. He could do insane amounts of damage with very little risk. As someone who played him when he came out. Jondaliner has a video where he won multiple duels with Gryphon blindfolded.

@@HELLCAT0877 his bash was the old back step into gb button, i.e. it came out instantly making it pretty hard to react. But honestly that's about it, everything else about was fine, it's just that at the time of his release movesets like his where just getting started and people weren't used to them so everyone complained to high hell which resulted in the devs over nerfing him.

I actually think Gryphon is satisfying to play as and fun to play against. If they made his kick feintable he would instantly shoot up in the viability category. He's already a pretty good char unless you're fighting really good players.

I just want his shove to be a little better. It’s pretty easy to react to it. Making the kick feintable would kill the animation.

@@Verixz-mz4zj every box-standard legion kick is easy to react to because of the dodge forward but it's impossible to react to orange on those moves so you still need to make a read on whether they're going to throw the bash or just empty dodge forward. Every single forward dodge bash that isn't chargeable is the same in the current sandbox.

@@kingbeast6792 adding the ability to chain after is interesting, but then it's just a game of "heavy or light" because the kick itself is just slow and reactable.

I mean.. teeechnically your playing your main as Gryphon is the same char as you actual main :D I played the game back then as they revealed Gryphon, but only two weeks ago I got him. I hated him back then (I still hear the monkey noice), but now I think he's become a fair character that's fun to play, as or against.
