In fairness...it was so cloudy the 2nd day, I couldn't see very well and over-applied the Medium Tan - lol. But yes, the Light Tan made we feel like I was actually tan!

I decided to look this up because I just got a text about this from Jones Rd. Your video came up first and I thought I’ll watch because you look like my skintone and funny enough after taking her quiz she puts me at tan or light tan

I really enjoyed your color/tone descriptions and found it interesting that the lightest color was a rosy tone. I am paler than you and definitely would be mostly pink if I were to tan (which I don’t ..age 66). So I have tried so many bronzers and too many look absolutely orange on me even if the company describes them as “cool”. So I mostly don’t use bronzer at all but sometimes use the Hourglass blush in the shade “Mood Exposure”. It’s a mauve-y shade with a slightly neutral/warm vanilla (?) shimmer running through the pan (if you know you know with the Hourglass blushes and bronzers). Imo it looks the most like how I would look if I had been in the sun without SPF. Sometimes I will dab 1-2-3 … Blush-bronzer-blush to make it the slightest bit “tanner”. But… I won’t probably be trying the Jones Rd rosy version, especially with your description of how it looks to you and that you didn’t care for it, since I have a rosy product that I think works for me. I should try this bronzer. I just bought the Kevin Aucoin light bronzer because it has that very cool base but it isn’t pink and I like it. Most bronzers are too dark or too warm, or both, for my pale skin.

The CdP foundation looks absolutely stunning on you, WOW. The Sisley concealer as well, I purchased this concealer in the past it was too dark (#2) so I returned. I just looked and am surprised they added more shades than sisley originally released! This makes me happy. Iam part Chickasaw & a cool fair light complexion. I don’t sun anymore either, but from beginning to end my tan is more a flush to a burgundy shade if I had too much sun. The Bobbi Brown Antigua is one of the best shades for me as a ‘bronzer’ so I appreciate these tones! Sorry for prattling on, but I had so much to say…what a great video! You look amazing ❤️❤️

I bought the Dusty Rose Bronzer. Loved the color but there wa so much fallout it was impossible. Jones Road is going to replace it with one that will not have that fallout. I hope it works. I'll have to try some of yours. Your's goes on so beautifully. As a viewer I can't see when the sun goes out or in.

That's so funny - to me I when the sun goes out everything looks dark! The brushes I used are very soft and I didn't experience fallout. But, I can't say if that would be the case with a brush make of goat which is more coarse.

Once again, enjoyed your presentation so much.Such a pretty look going into spring and summer months. It's wonderful to not only look beautiful, but to feel beautiful. I am waiting for my light tan to arrive in a few days. Fingers crossed. Also, just visited the Cle de Peau cream foundation site. If only it wasn't so expensive. It looks buttery and scrumptious. Totally understand that feeling. It is gorgeous on you. Do you have cool or warm undertones? I’m very fair with both pink and peach undertones but not yellow. Want to buy all 💃🏻⭐️

My undertone is actually soft yellow. Meaning, just a touch of yellow. Most foundations, however, have a lot of yellow so I prefer going with neutral foundations. I have surface redness, but it's not really my undertone. When I get sun, it looks very much like the Medium Tan for the first few days - then changes into a more bronzed color.

I actually love the VB bronzing brick. I like there are two shades, giving us three options and that the shades are not too warm. The packaging is also beautiful.

I think today, going for a uniform tanned look just gives off a dated and fake aesthetic, so I very much like how you apply it all to achieve a healthy flushed look. As a fellow fair skinned rosacea'd woman I much prefer an even glowing complexion. These remind me of the old Bobbi Brown big round bronzing powders, in particular Antigua and Maui, (I still have them) and they deliver the same tawny pink flush. Bobbi Brown had fantastic things, too bad she left her own brand but clearly she was stifled....

I'd love to know the behind the scenes of what happened there. I assumed she didn't like the direction of makeup trends and felt EL wanted her to go a direction that wasn't authentic or true to her beliefs about what flatters women most. I feel with Jones Road she's incorporated new things (highlighter wasn't a think back in the day) in a more realistic way - and has pared down to simple ideas done well.

@@TheHoodedLid I agree that something like this certainly happened, yet I still buy/enjoy the current Bobbi Brown lineup owned by EL. When she was there she had products that remind me of the Jones Road lineup, like the concealer pencils and super emollient face base "WTFoundation" etc. that are now gone from the EL product portfolio. Thanks for engaging on this, as a long time makeup lover (since I was 14, am now 54 lol) I sometimes mourn the products and lines that brought me joy and are now gone. Plus ca change as they say....
