lol I honestly love that Vi was just so overcome with emotion in that moment she couldn't stop herself from jumping Cait after learning she had secretly helped Vi free Jinx, reassuring her in just a few words that she isn't as alone as she thought and was correct to believe in her sister, even if it doesn't look like it in this moment. Because if Caitlyn of all people can forgive Jinx and trust that she will make the right decision in time for the final battle, then Vi can do the same Also, by doing this Cait reminded Vi of their first time meeting, when she freed HER from a prison cell as well, proving that despite all that's happened and changed, deep down she is still the same person Vi fell in love with

I’ll save a majority of my thoughts for 2x9 but some cool tid bits and call backs. Firstly, in the league universe, Yordles technically can’t die. They are actually immortal “spirits.” They just return to their homeland which is called “Bandle City” which is basically like a pocket placed that exists “behind" runeterra. Only Yordles can travel to and from Bandle City and its multiple locations that Yordles can decide to leave or exit in the world. Now Arcane is canon, so they could be retconning their own universe rules, but if they aren’t, Heimdienger didn’t die. Cool fact, Ekko’s scene in season 7 with the stopwatch, is shot in four frames per second, to match that he can/should only rewind time 4 seconds. And his dance scene was shot in 4 frame per second meaning he wanted to stay in the moment forever. For those who knew the characters, lore, etc. that’s why I found season 1, episode 7 amazing and just the hints at his power from when you first meet Ekko, fixing a clock. His power/abilities are time based. Also what I love about this episode, for those who don’t know, both Ekko and Powder have genius level intellect, but because in our version, they were born in the undercity, had their potentials to help and change the world, extremely reduced. Ekko’s in game nickname is called “The Boy Who Shattered Time” As you know Ekko holds a special place in my heart Episode 2x8 I think people are underestimating the words Caitlyn says to Vi. Caitlyn is still Piltover lead general/leader, in typical fashion, if it was found out she committed treason and let a fugitive go, she could be executed (excluding all the other crap going on and if it was investigated how Jinx escaped. Also low key, if nobody noticed, Caitlyn gave Jinx the hex gemstone in one of the food trays) but like she said, she knew Vi's love for her sister would be predictable and go try to save her. Not knowing if they leave town, stay, whatever happens. And while some say, why wouldn't Vi focus on trying to find her sister, she doesn't know where Jinx went and was told to pursue her love. Also I think they know Ambessa is on the way and might be the last time they are ever together. Lastly, Caitlyn is also basically letting Vi know she either has let go of her hatred for Jinx, and or her love for Vi outweighed her hatred for Jinx. And because of that, Vi chooses to love Caitlyn and it's a passion of love. Maybe I'm ignorant or some weirdo lol, but I think they both deserved the moment together Fun fact, the lead show runner did a 2 hour interview with Necrit(popular league youtuber) and he confirmed the scene between and Caitlyn and Vi actually had to cut down time wise and some edits because Netflix "slapped them on the wrist" he joked it's on some French hard drive somewhere since Fortiche is a French animation studio they partner with 😂 And Vi did let Caitlyn know the under city would eat her alive lol

Episode 7 makes me sad but... also hopeful? Because Heimerdinger proved that in only 3 years, the Piltover council could improve the lives of the people of Zaun SO MUCH, but in the main timeline they just didn't bother. It's awful! Still, maybe this also means they could change things that easily now if they just get their act together...?
